The building itself is really cool and interesting. I am not a specialty coffee drinker so it was nice to be able to get a plain old cup of coffee.

If you want historic and genuine, this coffee shop fits. The employees here know what they are doing and confident in their profession. No learning curve or on the job training, just consistent and predictable delicious coffee drinks and pastries.

Coffee is decent here. Not spectacular, but not at all disappointing. Latte art, good tea selection, friendly staff. Afternoons tend to be crowded with students, but there is usually a table open somewhere. Bring headphone unless you want to listen to other people's conversations, as tables are pretty close together.

Suggestions: Iced chocolate latte, Cortado, Cappuccino Price: $4-ish per drink Pros: Cool atmosphere, great espresso, they roast their own coffee, good handmade syrups Cons: Staff seems a little standoff-ish sometimes (border lining on rude at times), can get packed Thoughts: We ended up at Mojo’s a few times as it was close to where we were staying, had decently late... We stayed at The Saint Hotel which had a small mojo coffee house inside. It made our stay! The baristas are very nice and know their coffee. I highly recommend it!

Really cool coffee shop, with a variety of drinks and cakes. I had a latte and it was one of the best I've ever tasted. Enjoyed the music too!

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
