I really like the restaurant itself, and the food did not disappoint! I had the roast beef po boy fully dressed and onion rings. Both were delicious!!! They cook their beef overnight and then shred it. This makes it so much better than sliced deli meat. I can't wait to go back!

First time visitor but will definitely return. Great food away from the tourist scene. Hubby had shrimp and grits and I had the buffalo oysters and we shared the fried green tomatoes. Was introduced to a Flirtini - champagne-vodka with splash of pineapple juice. Sat outdoors and watched the locals out and about....

I ordered the Crawtator Catfish Po Boy and it was Po. Apparently, the catfish was not prepared. I got one small fillet split between the two halves of my "whole" Po sandwich. The service was also Po; 30 minutes to get a sandwich is to long!

This place ruined BTLs for me- I had a pimento cheese, fried greet tomorrow BLT po boy. It was delicious. My boyfriend got the fried chicken liver po boy and really liked it too. Onion straws are also awesome

Ate here with my kids on recommendation from others. Food was as expected. Very good. Service was as bad as I've experienced. Slow, once given, only part of our meal came, waiter "forgot" to put in other half. Once that was settled.... waiter again forgot to enter additional drink orders. Again. Food was great. But service was atrocious. I won't... More

Came here on local recommendations for the best roast beef po boy sandwich. So delicious on a real local French bread. Juicy, tender. Get it with debris juice. Otherwise it will be too dry

Stopped here for lunch and we weren't disappointed. We had grilled Gulf shrimp po-boys with an order of its famous onion rings, which were amazing.

We always pick up shrimp poboys to go on our way back home to Alabama. Have never eaten in the actual Resturant but can vouch for the shrimp po boys. Everyone is always friendly and our order is always ready.

As we were walking down Magazine St. enjoying the history and architect we found a place that did not require reservations. It was a converted house with a small patio. My wife and I had tried for the first time a Muffaletta hot sandwich. We both loved this new sandwich along with an Abita local beer. We left very full... More

Came in a bit early on a Monday afternoon for lunch without any wait. Each of us were able to find something quickly on the menu. Flavors were on POINT!! Our waitress was terrific!!

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
