Spent a bit of time here when touring Algiers. The bartender and locals were very hospitable and fun. Great bar for a drink or two or three. Stop by if you are in Algiers - great time!

Recommend by a carriage driver after he saw my life partner's Who shirt. Ferry ride across the river was $2 (we're old). Did remind me of the pubs in England. TV is set to Dr. Who for new episodes with fans gathering.

Good selection of drinks, bartender was wonderful, atmosphere is very nice. We brought some snacks to eat while we drank.

My husband is a Whovian so we had to come here to check out the tardis. Took the ferry over and back (easy).. was about an hour and a half side trip, total. Beer was cheap.

Seriously. Take the ferry. Go for a real English pint for great value. Ambiance is amazing.... better than many pubs in England. Lots of laughs with locals. No food but they let you bring-in. Remarkable find. You'll have such a good time you'll risk missing...More

Sitting pretty across the Mississippi River from the
