Probably one of my favorite places in NOLA the bar is an actual carousel that turns! We were a group of 35 people and were there long enough that each person had a seat there.

Sunday’s in New Orleans need to be spent at the carousel bar! Perfect pisco sours, mimosas, and bloody Mary’s! Wonderful place to relax with friends and the bartenders are amazing!

Beautiful old carousel used as a bar, moves v slowly so no fear of nausea. Great drinks and service.

We arrived at Hotel Monteleone too early to check in, so we went to the Carousel Bar. All seats at the Carousel were occupied, so we sat at a table a few feet away, which was fine. Really nice ambience, and they had one of...More

Small rotating bar. Only sits about 30. Get a seat and relax. Great bartenders. Lots of fun drinks and well stocked. Right in the quarter and nice for a break when walking around.

The Carousel Bar is in a hotel and is next to another hotel bar where we had drinks, but the whole place is worth a visit. The rotating bar is a bit of a gimmick.

The bar gets pretty crowded and you have to wait a while to sit at the carousel bar. We had a great time sitting at the other bar listening to the band and ordering expensive but good drinks.

It was luck there was no wait. Sat next to the nicest people from Puerto Rico(if PR ever needed your donations it's now) Great special drinks. Bartenders are a bit slow and forgetful. But that's not why your there.

Carousel Bar is outstanding, but always crowded and one can rarely get a seat at the moving bar. There are side tables available for drinks while you wait for someone to leave the carousel.

A beautiful and classy reprieve from the dive bars of Bourbon in the swanky Monteleone Hotel. If you want a seat at the actual carousel (there are also tables), I recommend going at a bit of an "off" time. My friend and I easily grabbed...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty

of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs
across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied
around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

Yes but they can't sit at the bar. There is an open seating area where the live music is played and this is where kids may sit. Don't miss it !! :)

It is a beautiful, historic 'bar'. I would be comfortable in saying casual, to dressy casual, if you were going in the evening. But, honestly, anything really is okay in French Quarter...especially if you are going to just... More
