We were told about this place by a frequent NOLA visitor saying they have the best fried chicken in the French Quarter. After we found the place, we noticed how empty the place was at dinner time-1 other table was seated-but didn't think much of it because it's on the edge of the action. While ordering our food, the waitress... More

Just attended to have lunch here. They are very disorganized, they do not have half of what is on the menu. The $5 dollar drinks are a 12 oz cup. When we did finally get our meal they forgot the bacon for our BLT. That is kinda of the point of the sandwich. Service is very slow the waiter did... More

Firstly we're told to choose any table, then we were moved from our slightly wobbly table to an even more wobbly table! Waitress looked like she didn't want to be there. Supposedly famous for its fried chicken - we had fried pickles to share for start - this was not bad. We ordered fried chicken, mashed potato and gumbo. Chicken... More

Been on holiday across states for three weeks and this was the worst meal so far. Service was poor, food was poorer. Had the 'famous' fried chicken. Yuk. Partner had seafood gumbo. Also yuk. So many better places to eat so no need to go here.

The place was not busy and the length of time to get our order was reasonable. The sad part was that I wanted gumbo and on our first visit none was available. I had a shrimp platter instead. It was OK but not anything to rave about. I believe in second chances and went back again. Gumbo was available but... More

We went here on vacation 2 times for dinner. We had to go back a second night because it was just THAT good. The manager was so nice and even put the Blackhawks hockey game on for us. The prices are very reasonable and they have lots of great looking sandwiches on the menu as well. The fries were very... More

Very nice somewhat quiet little restaurant with a nice menu. Poboys, fried green tomatoes, fried chicken, beans and rice to name a few. Po boys are huge. Our meal took a real long time as we were here over 2 hours. Bartender fid give us a free round of drinks for our patience.

But...very unprofessional members of the staff. Our waitress was top notch. Floor of ladies room flooded, serious fall danger.

I recently visited Nola and a family member took me to the place he stated had the best fried chicken. Since I consider myself a connoisseur of chicken, I was skeptical. Well it was the best I have had anywhere in the U.S. It was delivered hot and freshly fried. It melted in your mouth. Staff was friendly and efficient.

Went here yesterday afternoon to try the Fried Chicken here. While the Chicken was good, I have had better and also the service wasn't all that great. Took a while to get 2 pieces of chicken as well.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
