I have been disappointed with so many hole-in-the-wall local restaurants in N.O. This one is as good as advertised. There are maybe a dozen tables in there and only one server on the night we went. My shrimp poboy was as good as any I have...More

Waited a bit to get in. Grab a bloody mary and enjoy the wait. Very small inside, but fun all the same. Food was good. Service was friendly and fast. Would definitely go here again

Small place and usually a wait but great food and great service. They had a Captain Crunch French Toast and it was so good.

Found this place through TripAdvisor and gave it a go. Conveniently located and just had to wait a few minutes for a table. It was very busy and lively. Waitress was very good, but up sold everything. $8 for a tiny piece of monkey bread?!?!...More

For whatever reason locals love this place. My husband and I thought it was less than average. We went for lunch and ordered what everyone recommended, a poorboy. My husband had the shrimp and I had the roast beef. Both with little flavor, mine soggy...More

I have had monkey bread before but the amazing treat they serve at Jimmy J’s is something special I will seek out every time I come to the city. Sandwiches were also a great full sized meal.

Came here with my family for breakfast since the Tripadvisor reviews made it seem like this place was something special. The place is small which I have no problem with, we were seated promptly and the food came out fast. But the food was ok,...More

We've waited a few minutes to get in since it's a very... cozy place. We've enjoyed our sandwiches, the plates are bigger than what I can eat. A little expensive, but tasty and the portions were (for us) enormous!

Shrimp and oyster po’boy was absolutely delicious. Staff was great too. I would have rated this higher except unfortunately the fries were pretty undercooked and raw. Otherwise a great experience.

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title

little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
