Food was delicious. Waitress was very accommodating and knowledgable about lactose and Celiac restrictions. Will definitely return.

It had been several years since our last visit to Cochin on a previous trip to NOLA, but so glad to make the return. Many can't go wrong menu selections, including all of the starters. I doubt if you could make a bad selection but ask a staff member to guide you they are incredibly helpful and will let you... More

The whole pig comes in the back door. It spends several hours receiving love from some of the best chefs and cooks in NOLA. It it then presented on a plate for your consumption. The best true cajun preparations of pork. Don't skip the wood fired oysters or the alligator sauce picante. Try to save room for the great desserts.... More

Intrigued by the name of this fashionable venue of New Orleans (literally "pig" in French), located a few blocks away from the Convention Center, I decided to try it out with a few friends. The rustic setting with the semi-open kitchen and bar are the key ingredients of trendy (and unfortunately often pretentious) restaurants, where tourists in a quest for... More

This was an impromptu stop in for a late dinner. Staff was very friendly and we had minimal wait. Waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the fried livers, ribs, and the BBQ dish with turnips and cabbage (unsure of what it was called). All of the food was delicious! The only advice is to be aware... More

The food here was pretty good, I had the catfish courtboullion, but the service was sub-par. Our waitress was smug and rude, almost annoyed that we were there. Huge turn-off, we will not be back.

This is a review for Cochon BUTCHER, since I accidentally swapped the names. BUTCHER is the same owner as Cochon, and they are next door to one another. Both great, but different experiences - for sure! BUTCHER is a more casual place with open air-dining, and a rock 'n' roll attitude. During my particular visit, they were playing album –... More

This restaurant, just a few blocks from the World War Two museum is a delight. The lunch menu is delicious with very generous portions. The food is locally sourced and cooked to perfection. The Louisiana Cochon dish is memorable. The service was prompt and attentive. I look forward to visiting this restaurant again.

Thank Diana W

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
