While staying a few nights at Le Pavillon we had the continental breakfast buffet the first morning. From the start the servers including Lucy were wonderful, friendly and professional. This hotel, the Crystal Room as its known is incredibly well decorated from the early 1900's. Most beautiful (the decor) breakfast dining we've ever experienced. Not your routine famous hotel chain... More

Not impressed at all. There were a total of 5 other guests in the restaurant, and I counted 4 wait staff. You'd think they were slammed, wait staff appears to hide rather than be out and available to guests. French toast took close to 30 minutes to prepare, and the continental breakfast was the most overpriced $18 for a very... More

Very high class with great food, great service in a luxurious setting. We didn't know what we were in for when we stopped in just looking for breakfast on Christmas Day. It's more than just a great meal, but an experience to remember.

I have been going to the Crystal Room for Easter for a few years and it has been wonderful. Crab legs, prime rib and lots of other delicious foods. We went to the Christmas Brunch on Christmas day and I can't say enough how disappointing it was. The main attraction was a salad bar. (I can get a salad bar... More

A few friends of mine have routinely enjoyed the "Unlimited Champagne Brunch" at The Crystal Room of Le Pavillon on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Each year we look forward to this event as it is has always been the highlight of our weekend. Expecting the same this year, we blindly made a reservation for brunch on the Sunday after Thanksgiving... More

We visited The Crystal Room for Thanksgiving dinner. We made a reservation based on the information provided by their website - at no time did it mention that the buffet stations were only during the daytime. Our dinner was at 6 pm, there was only three options on the dinner menu. My daughter had the turkey and my husband had... More

Great service, nice menu with creole-cajun flair. A little pricey, but well worth it. The décor is so old-Southern.

Since we were staying at Le Pavillon, we reserved breakfast one morning at the Crystal Room. The room is absolutely gorgeous and very elegant. We ordered off the menu and both of our breakfasts were delicious. Our server, Dallas, was absolutely wonderful! So kind and caring. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the beautiful surroundings.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
