Had to throw out my entire order of wings. They were literally the size of my pinky. Like unbelievable that this place is still operational. Completely without a doubt the worst chicken wings I've ever had.

Made a special trip here to do the hot wing challenge, they were out of the sauce to do it! Looking at the sign in sheets its been 20 days since someone tried it, how's that possible? However it seemed like business as usual, ridiculous, stay away.

Good food, but there are better wings, not sure where to find them in NOLA though. I am not a fan of breaded wings so if you like that, this is your place. I did enjoy the various flavors, very yummy, and I think they make their own sauces and things on site which is always great too. The fries... More

I eat here at least 3 times a week and I have never had any bad food or bad service. If you are in the area, you need to try this place out....from the wings to the wraps, it's all good. If you're up to it, you should try "the beast challenge".

Made to order! You cant dine in here but you take it to go (call it in ahead!) These guys take pride in their ingredients and their sauces - you should definitely get the blackened gator.

Bayou Hot Wings is, without a doubt, the best wing place in these United States. Their homemade blue cheese combined with the Bayou Hotboy haunt me in my nights of waking up, gurgling, wishing direly to go to the kitchen to grab something but way, way, wayyyyyyYYYYY to tired to do so. Try these wings out, they will blow your... More

I will confess I am not broadly experienced in the wing shop business, but this was really sad. The sauces were thin. The medium and hot were indistinguishable. The fried/breading was gummy. The chicken was overcooked and chewy. You can do much better by going to Sam's and snagging a 5 pound bag of wings.

Staying in Uptown / Carrollton

Neighbourhood Profile
Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.
