Walked to Emeril's from Lee Circle, about 6 blocks. Were seated at the bar overlooking the kitchen. Not only a great meal, but watching the staff cooking was a real show.

We recently experienced this restaurant and would suggest that if you have a chance, it is a must do. The food was excellent, the service was also excellent. Food was priced accordingly. Very generous portions (expecially the delicious deserts) all in all a great experience

My wife and I did not make reservations ahead of time and were surprised that we were able to seat at the dinning bar overlooking their open kitchen. This alone was an amazing experience seeing the executive chef “barking” orders to each of the kitchen stations of what to fire and the each station acknowledging the order by repeating what... What a wonderful dining experience. The food, the service, the price - all first class. What a wonderful restaurant- totally lives up to it's reputation then soars beyond. Cannot recommend it enough.

My husband and I visited New Orleans for the first time and wanted to try Commander's Palace, John Besh's restaurant and Emeril's. The service at Emeril's New Orleans restaurant was by far the best: the waiter replaced our glass of water if the ice was melted, a passing waiter escorted me to the restroom and when I returned to my... Chicken and waffles and the Barbecue Roasted Salmon were excellent. The service was outstanding. I imagine that anything on the menu is just as good. Casual clothing is fine as long as you aren't in shorts, a t-shirt and flip-flops, we were there at lunch. They had an open kitchen that made the atmosphere different from a boxed in room... More

I'm a regular visitor to NOLA and hit different restaurants across the spectrum. I took my 16 YO nephew for this bday and honestly booked the place because I could get a last minute 7 PM reservation on a Saturday. Many NOLA restaurants like Emeril's often have a feeling of being tourist feeding mills and the service and food are... More

The service was excellent, really nice people and very helpful, the waiter was also amusing with some of his comments which was a pleasant surprise. They were attentive and even changed our glasses of water after the main course. The only downside to the visit was my main course "Fish of The Day." It was obviously frozen before being cooked... If my husband and I don't make our 50th it won't matter because this dinner was so good! Our servers were very attentive, our table was great and everything was delicious! The Lobster on a skewer was divine! Also tried pork belly-- who knew? Delicious. I had the hangar steak and Tim had the drum fish--perfect. We enjoyed a sparkling... More

Opened in 1990 by Chef Emeril Lagasse in New Orleans, Emeril's Restaurant serves his signature style of "New New Orleans" cuisine, featuring the best local and regional seasonal ingredients. Nestled in a renovated pharmacy warehouse on Tchoupitoulas Street in the heart of the city's Warehouse District, Emeril's interior features rustic exposed brick and glass walls flanking one side of the main dining room, with plaster-lathe wood forming a wine wall on the other. Guests may enjoy watching the action in the kitchen while enjoying a meal at the chef's Food Bar.

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
