The service we experienced is what you would expect from a five-star restaurant. The food is fresh, varied menu – as to the catch of the day, presented and plated well, all to be outdone by the taste you experience. I have been here 3 times to celebrate my wedding anniversary and have never been disappointed by their offerings, staff,... More

Excellent food, vine and service. Both the fish, starter and main course were excellent and tasty. We had to go back the second day too.

We had another absolutely incredible meal here at GW Fins. It's a must whenever we go to New Orleans. Scalibut is my go to however they had some Bluefin tuna dishes that the others had. Delicious. Every plate was cleaned so I know all enjoyed it. Jason was our waiter - we had an incredible evening out - special birthday... More

We enjoyed our meal for four, and the food was solid. The server was very nice and responsive, but a bit too scripted (three or four different apps or entrees were "the best [x] I've ever eaten." She meant well and she was a very good server, it was just a bit fake in delivery. Excellent wine list and great... More

Elegant atmosphere right off of Bourbon. Staff was very attentive, friendly, and talkative. Lobster dumplings were rich and flavorful. I ordered the yellowfin and husband had the Mississippi red fish. The tuna was cooked perfectly, and the vegetables and rice were perfect. The Mississippi red fish was flaky, tender and the fried plantains were amazing! The bread pudding was the... More

Although this restaurant requires a reservation, we were lucky enough to be accommodated for dinner since they had a cancellation. We started with the lobster dumplings and the tuna tacos for appetizers. Those lobster dumplings were so delicious, we ordered a second portion. No wonder people talk about those things. These are a must have. We then went on to... More

This restaurant was only a hundred metres from our hotel, and rated highly on TripAdvisor so we decided to try it out, and we're so glad we did. We had a marvellous time, the food was impeccable and the service was five-star. For starters, I had the Crispy Pork Belly that was accompanied by watermelon. Presentation was A+ and the... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
