The outside was very unassuming. Once you got inside and go upstairs they have Windows in the trees which is especially beautiful when the Sun starts to set and the lights are on outside. When the meals are served it's like an orchestrated effort because...More

This bustling restaurant in New Orleans Garden District is a real treat in every way. We had reservations for five and were seated immediately. The food is classic New Orleans, well presented and the best in the entire city. The service is second to none....More

Went here for the 1st time and had the gumbo and spiced chicken thigh. It was decent. .25 cent Martinis were actually strong. Husband had turtle soup and catfish. We would go back. Pretty good. Bread pudding soufflé dessert pretty good too.

Perfect place for a celebration. Birthday, anniversary, or just a sunshiny day--any excuse to go. We enjoyed the Sunday brunch with live music and special request. Reservation highly recommend. The dress code is not strictly observed, although most men did wear a jacket the range...More

"Commander's Palace" disappointed us on this visit. The waiter seemed to be keen on "upsellapalooza." The food was pleasant, but not outstanding.

Had a great brunch over Labor Day weekend. If I could change one thing it would be sitting in the front dinning room which seemed to be a bit more contemporary vs the original dinning room facing the court yard. Reservations highly recommended. Great meal,...More

Commander's Palace is in a residential neighborhood. It is in the Garden District, an upscale area. CP has valet parking or some people just park on the street. I have always taken a cab or Uber.

Commander's Palace welcomes everyone but we do have a dress code. It's a festive atmosphere! Shorts are never allowed. Inventive modern New Orleans cooking coexists with our Haute Creole. Sense the team's professional grace clothed in the warmth of the Brennan Family's brand of hospitality. From your first sip of a Sazerac to your last crumb of bread pudding soufflé, we hope you are pampered and delighted...and go ahead be a little bad...that's what living in New Orleans is all about.
