Nice little place. We have been here a few times. The breakfast is always good. No kids menu but the prices are decent and the selection is kid friendly. The staff was very friendly.

Convenient to our hotel. Busy during the day and could see locals as well as tourists. Server friendly and accommodating.

We stumbled upon this place when the lines were too long at other restaurants. We were able to be seated quickly. It's a relatively small place with reasonably priced food. We enjoyed the Andouille sausage omelette with cheese grits. The Cajun hash browns were pretty good too. The coffee is average. If your looking for a hearty breakfast at a... More

Had a great lunch at Mena's, service was very friendly and the food was excellent. Price was very reasonable. It is a small place not fancy but a great neighborhood ambiance Will definitely return

It is a small restaurant right in the French Quarter. Breakfast is very good and the service even better. Mind you it is a speedy one.

We got the chilli, grilled shrimp salad, grilled chicken with baked potato and the chicken gyro. Everything was really fresh and tasty eith good flavor. This cafe was recommended for breakfast by other tourists that we met. They raved about the food so we had to give it a try. My husband ordered the Cajun Tasso and he said it was good - not great. I ordered a breakfast meal of eggs, ham and hashed browns. The thin piece of ham was pretty flavourless and... More

Our family met up here for an early lunch at the beginning of the week. The original plan was to go to Johnny's, but the line was already long before 11; and we didn't feel like taking the food back to our place. Instead, we walked to the other end of the block to Mena's. At 11, Mena's was about... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
