This was my second visit to the Swizzle Stick Bar at Café Adelaide in the Lowes Hotel, on Poydras St. On the first, my wife and I stopped in for wine, and were impressed. On this visit, I was solo, as my wife was in...More

While walking the city, we came upon Café Adelaide and decided to try it, SO glad we did! The food was wonderful, our server Alivia was EXCELLENT (witty, charming, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient) and the ambiance, although in a hotel, was delightfully "fresh" and "upbeat"....More

D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! I hadn't been here in years and had previously only gotten the shrimp and grits. This past time I decided to try the grilled cheese (with crawfish). Amazing. Tell your friends. Thank you all for the great meal and service.

The service and food are good, but not exceptional. I had breakfast, dinner, drinks and snacks over a period of days while staying at Loews. The drinks are only reasonably priced during Happy Hour so make sure you use that window. Some things off the...More

We enjoyed everything we ate here, both in the evening as well as at breakfast. The service was extremely good along with the Martinis. Nice décor with low lighting in the evening. We especially enjoyed the turtle soup. We'd definitely eat here again.

We enjoyed eating and drinking here many days when the weather was poor, or pre-event. Great happy hour food and drink - try the shrimp corn dogs! Soevial martini prices when you order entrees at 25 cents makes the lunch or dinner a lot of...More

It was raining and it was nearby but...Slow service, hard boiled eggs for the benedict. Probably will not be back for breakfast there any time soon.

I've been coming to NOLA for 23 years, typically twice a year, and this is my first time to eat at Cafe Adelaide. Hostess: Walking in Brittany is very welcoming and she has a good sense of humor. Server: Dereck is sweet but I waited...More

We were here for breakfast on Mother's Day and enjoyed a well prepared breakfast very and fine service. There were four in our party and we all had a very good breakfast.

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts

We are considering the Adelaide Café for a rehearsal dinner for 70 in September 2017. Would you recommend this for out of town guests and well as locals?

There is a private dining area. I don't think it can hold more than about 35 people. But I could be wrong. If you call their event person they would be more than happy to assist you and if not there they may be able to... More

When we dined there, we were in the main dining room and I don't recall that noise was an issue.
