If you walk by you will most definitely always see a line out the door. The reason being, this place just really is that good! I had the best chargrilled oyster I've had in my life! Don't just order half a dozen. That would be a mistake. Go for the full dozen if not more! You won't regret it. Oysters... More

Good fish po-boy, hushpuppies and drinks. Not fancy, casual, loud, but good. Our server was very nice.

A Po Boy at an Oyster House? Yes and delicious too! Bar tender was very charismatic and helpful to us Canadian visitors explaining many Orlean habits. Very popular eatery with the locals and tourists! Try it, you'll like it!

Oysters were divine! Also had the red beans and rice which were delicious! Worth the wait and the line moves fast.

I am not a shellfish fan but I heard good reviews about the 10 Napkin PoBoy so I gave it a try. Staff was friendly and I was able to skip the line as I was single and sat at the bar. PoBoy was delicious and I indeed used a pile of napkins.

I read reviews that said all I could eat here would be rice and beans, but the chargrilled oysters are actually gf and safe for celiacs if ordered without the french bread accompaniment. I actually brought some gf bread for myself, which I highly recommend as the garlic and herb butter sauce was to die for!! The oysters themselves were... More

Long lines just to get seated. Now worth the wait or the hassle. Acroos the street and next door are restaurants with faster service and the same menu at same quality. Would not recommend. Its a complete tourist trap

It was a long line up but all worth it. Their Fried Oysters were great, Ordered two dozens and Po-Boy was great too. Enjoyed their cat-fish. The server was amazing.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
