With tired kids, we wanted something easy. Decent kids menu, average beer, and a creative selection of apps. Not a lot of veggies on the menu. Very pleasant service.

As a returning customer (after 23 years) I was pleased to find the place nearly unchanged. The beer lineup is still excellent (had the tasting), with the Red Stallion being my favorite. The crabcakes and the seafood cheesecake were delicious.

I did enjoy quite a few cups of Pilsner while strolling around the Quarter. I found their baked oysters 3 ways to be only average. They were over-cooked and dried out. If there was any crab on the crab and saffron variety you could have fooled me. The shrimp remoulade was okay. But all the beers I had were tasty... More

We sat outside on the balcony and had drinks and ordered the crabcakes. They were delicious! Highly recommend them to anyone. My cousin had the house beer. I believe it was the lager. Said it was pretty good. We were there around 1:00 on a Thursday. It was not crowded at all. Sitting outside gave us a chance to see... More

This is a pretty laid-back place (by NOLA standards) with a comfortable and casual atmosphere. It's pretty much pub grub but with some excellent dinners as well. The pub grub, however, is not standard stuff: it's very different and very good. Good beer also

Good service, yummy food, lots of beer (which I don't drink! ) and no apple cider! A cute trio of old guys - trumpet, guitar and double bass and possibly someone playing bongo style drums - were playing some decent jazz music.

Ok so we are older and this bar was the most fun we had on our trip to New Orleans. Jazzz was great and we could still talk! Real mix of ages and friendly patrons and excellent bar staff. Food was fresh seafood and cooked to perfection. Large bar and resturant, something for anyone looking for a good time.

I'm an avid homebrewer and as such I always enjoy visiting microbreweries and brew-pubs on my travels. Crescent City Brewhouse is a standout for several reasons. Between it's prime location in the French Quarter, the conscientious and creative ways the brewery arranged itself around the historic 4 staory building it's in (rather than modernizing and retrofitting the building to make... I visited Crescent City Brewhouse twice on my last visit. Once just for the beer, and once with my running group for our pre-race pasta dinner before the Rock n Roll Half Marathon. The craft beer is delicious. (I like the Black Forest and Red Stallion, personally, but they're all good.) And the kitchen staff did a fantastic job preparing... More

We have visited this restaurant nearly every time we have been in New Orleans, and have always been well satisfied. The service is good, with a jazz band playing in the background in the evenings. This visit I had ribs, just a 1/2 rack, but plenty for me not to want anything more to eat. Another plus is their micro... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
