We stopped in at Pat O'Briens while meandering around the French Quarter. The staff were very friendly, the cocktails were delicious, and the ambiance of the courtyard was perfect for our pre-wedding dinner. We will be back!

Stopped in for a New Orleans tradition. Started with Hurricanes and then orderd some food. Had shrimp creole and a special of Rock Fish, rice and veggies. All dishes were great. Service was average; not very knowledgeable or fast. Overall very good experience.

It's always a pleasure to go to Pat's by the Flamming Fountain for a Hurricane. It was fun, but our server was nasty. She didn't tell us about the refund for glasses or you can take them home, apparently planning to skim the money. Fortunately I knew about it. In addition she got nasty and aggressive when I didn't tip... More

This place is lots of fun. Dueling pianos, cheap drinks, fun crowd. BUT - it gets super duper crowded and uncomfortable. If you're drunk, you probably wouldn't even notice. And since the drinks are cheap, might as well get drunk! Bartenders are slow. but the place is PACKED.

We all went in to have a hurricane. They invented it. But the cyclone, rainstorm and fuzzy leprechaun was our drinks of choice by the end of the night. The outside area was nice but service was awful. We just kept going to the bar ourselves. They charge you right upfront for the glass. Fun but done

Great hurricanes and great conversation. Manny is a Loyola educated young man and an outstanding bartender. Keeps a great bar and keeps it real. Highley recommend the afternoon bourbon Bar.

I was waiting in line for Preservation Hall, and stopped into Pat O'Brien's for their"famous" hurricane drink. Bartender pulled it from a premade mix and served it in about 20 seconds. No poring and mixing like a good cocktail. It was terrible. It wasn't tasty at all. And no taste of liquor. So why is this FAMOUS? What a scam.... More

This was such a relief from our other dinner experiences in NOLA. Sheena was a wonder in service and the Muffaletta sandwich was amazing.

Love the atmosphere in this place. Laid back in the afternoon, but a lot of fun at night. Drinks are a little pricey, but totally worth it. The bartender, Manny, is incredible as well. One of my favorite spots to visit in New Orleans.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
