A local took me to Mimi's with promises of excellent tapas and a great atmosphere. He was right on both. Everywhere I ate in New Orleans, the food was excellent, but the tapas at Mimi's, especially the mushroom manchego toast and figs with goat cheese, was the best meal I had. We ate at the bar and the service was... More

Mimi's is the perfect place to wine down on a Friday night, whether you are there for a birthday party or a first date. The space is very cosy, and welcoming. They do not blast the a/c, which is very nice (I don't enjoy when a place is way too cold). I love the old brick walls and the huge... More

First visit to Mimi's while visiting the city and was not disappointed. Visiting with a local resident, I was recommended several dishes including Mushroom Manchego toast, Spiced Duck Skewers, and Crabtree Gazpacho and was not disappointed. Each dish was uniquely prepared with exquisite detail. The chef was very welcoming and personable after visiting us at the table. Great culinary and... More

The tapas here are some the best I have ever had. They have some unusual plates, and all of them that we tried were excellent. They have some vegetarian options if you are looking for that. There is a bar downstairs, which seemed pretty noisy but there are stairs in the back up to a quieter room upstairs with a... More

We ordered the "trust me" option and were not disappointed. It's whipped up on the spot based on your preference, but a total surprise dish every time! Like a really good bartender. Otherwise atmospheric, brick walls, hip bartenders, great place to chill.

Our group stopped here while we hopped around the Marigny. We didn't eat here, but the food plates looked delicious. Great atmosphere for playing pool and having a quieter space to enjoy a drink with friends.

You might have trouble finding this place but it is worth it once you do! Located in the Marigny and a few blocks from Frenchman Street. There is a large bar with tall tables..the drinks are pretty straight forward (I asked for a cocktail menu and got a dirty look) so know what you want. The wines did not look... More

This is a local place, with a cool vibe, that has been gaining a following for 15 years. Mimi is a local legend and the bar is perfect. Too busy downstairs, head upstairs. Need a smoke, head out to the balcony. The food is ridiculously good and the drinks are tasty and cheap.

Not cheap, but worth a trip. Get the lamb tapas! Delish!!!! Areas for pool. Looks like a spot for locals.

Went into this corner bar on a recommendation of a local. At first I thought it was the wrong place, I saw no food or menus, etc. the door guy noticed our struggle and asked if we wanted to eat. You get a menu and order from the bar. We ordered so many tapas to try! They are all very... More
