I take my grandchildren here every chance I can get. I think they still believe I am doing it for them, but they are getting older and may suspect I have selfish motives. This place has been in business forever and it's no wonder. It is an old mom and pop sort of place which is fun to experience and the... More

Tiny unpretentious neighborhood cafe with the ultimate hand made cannolis, delectable small batch gelato and fresh fruit ices topped with expresso served up from a remarkable copper finished machine by smiling, friendly staff. And the price is the best part...

Our favorite place for a great selection of gelato with a unique atmosphere of an old established New Orleans Sicilian sweet shop. In my opinion the gelato was as good or better than any gelato we had in Italy.

Great gelato. As good as you can get anywhere in Italy. Also great selection of pastries will satisfy any sweet tooth.

One of my employees bought me a piece of the Spumoni Cheesecake for Bosses' Day. What a Treat! I bought a whole cake for an upcoming dinner with friends. It was a bit pricey, but well worth it!

Brocato's is a New Orleans institution. For over 100 years the Brocato family has been serving their classic Italian gelato, pastries, candies and cookies to New Orleanians. It is my family's favorite place to go for dessert.

The first thing that catches your eye is the case full of amazing European pastries. Then, as your eyes drift higher you see the beautiful old world espresso machine and the plethora of ways you can enjoy espresso. They do have brewed coffee for those whom are accustomed to it. And of course as my title says they have gelato.... More

Great place for Italian desserts. The cannoli's and spumoni are especially recommended. Comfortable atmosphere. Can bring home Italian cookies if you want

After riding bikes all day, we were in the mood for some ice cream. I had the Kings Cake with large pieces of cake in a praline iced cream, yum. My wife had Strawberry which she said was the best strawberry ice cream she had tasted. Their bakery items looked great too, but that will be for tomorrow.

Brocato's has been in business for over 100 years. That alone should tell you something. All sorts of Italian goodies. Enjoy!
