We wanted a light dinner and it was suggested that we would enjoy Stanley's food. Everyone in our party of eight was pleased with what they ordered which included red beans and rice with sausage, burgers, shrimp poor boys, regular and sweet potato fries and gumbo. I would definitely go there again. The food was moderately priced.

Being in Jackson Square, the restaurants are on the pricey side. We split a Reuben sandwich- a bit greased, but the Bloody Mary's helped. Good service

Went to Stanley for breakfast before our visit to the French Market. We were seated immediately on our arrival and quickly offered beverages. I had the bananas Foster's French toast which was magnificent!! My partner had the standard eggs and bacon, which he enjoyed. Service was great. Atmosphere nice and not noisy. A great choice!!!

This is right next door to the Place d' Armes Hotel where we always stay. It is on the corner of Jackson Square about a block from Café Dumone! Brunch entrees at our table included - Seafood benedicts- OMG good - with a soft shelled crab, fried oysters and fried shrimp along with two traditional eggs benedicts and Corned beef... More

We enjoyed our breakfast at Stanley, but were a little bit let down based on it's lofty reputation. The omelet sandwich was pretty good, but the bread was so soggy it became difficult to eat without falling apart. The grilled sweet onions on it were a great touch though. The Benedict Po' Boy was pretty good. Service was fine. Nothing... More

We went here for one of our last breakfasts on our trip. The breakfast menu is a little small but packs a big punch. Great drinks and friendly helpful staff.

We try to get back to Stanley every time we come to town. The wait is always long, so put your name in and grab yourself a drink at the service bar. It's great to be able to wonder around Jackson Square while you wait for the main event- breakfast. Everyone I have come here with has always enjoyed their... More

Got a table in 10 minutes on a crowded 1st Saturday of Mardi Gras. I had the Eggs Stanley (Benedict with fried oysters) while my son had the seafood platter benedict. Not sure how anyone could be disappointed with either......scrumptious. The virgin Bloody was delicious also. Great, friendly servers!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
