We ate at Stanley during our last visit to the French Quarter and it was very good. They have a good selection of food, including breakfast items at dinner time, which is great when you have a family of four that includes teenagers! The gumbo was great as were the blueberry pancakes (or so I heard from those present at... More

My husband and I stopped in for a Sunday brunch. This was possibly one of the tastiest decisions we have ever made. My husband had the omelette sandwich and I had the eggs Benedict po boy. His sandwich was absolutely piled with meats and omelette. It also had some sweet caramelized onions which he has not stopped raving about. My... More

Stanleys is one of my favorite places for oysters and poached eggs and a huge mimosa! I have been coming here for about five years, always good, never disappoints.

This was a great place to sit and take a break and watch the best of NOLA walk by in Jackson Square. Our service was exception, and the food was OK. Great atmosphere and location.

We went for breakfast, the pancakes were salty and cold. The prices were also expensive relative to the poor quality.

We walked into Stanley's for breakfast and we were greeted like royalty. This is a good breakfast place with great coffee. I had the STANLEY CLASSIC with Scrambled Eggs, Smoked Bacon, Creole Breakfast Potatoes, and Multigrain Toast. My wife had the EGGS BENEDICT POOR BOY with perfectly Poached Eggs, Canadian Bacon and Creole Hollandaise on Toasted French Bread. I also... More

My husband got the gumbo and I got a Rueben sandwich. Both were so delicious! Best Rueben I've ever had. It was messy to eat, but worth it! The gumbo is different from any I've had before- Dark in color, almost like an au ju. We also shared a chocolate shake. They make the ice cream themselves and you can... More

I don't understand why this restaurant have 4 stars based on over thousand reviews... I went there because it was recommended by a bartender in the hotel where I stayed. Actually, he recommended two restaurants (this one and Sylvain). I made a reservation for Sulvain but when me and my husband went there and saw menu which was very limited... More

I went with my family and waited for an hour. It was a pricey breakfast, but well worth the wait! Would go again!

It's hard not to rave about this restaurant for breakfast. They know how to do it right and give you a New Orleans taste that you will never forget. Right by Jackson Square this is real creole deal.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
