Place was fairly small and I heard there was always a line. Well worth the wait though. Service was friendly and great. Food was super. It's open for lunch, then again for supper. Menu is the same. Sandwiches, mainly burgers, sides and desserts.

A warm welcome on a cold and rainy night. Very busy yet maintained a good atmosphere and our waiter was excellent. We shared a huge platter of nachos and a rare bison burger which were absolutely delicious...especially the burger!! It was grilled to perfection! This is a great spot in Custer SD.

The night we went to burger and bun co. they were pretty busy. There are only 5 chairs for people to wait on so there are lots of people standing and waiting and some holding the door open. Bbrrrrr!! Everyone is in very close quarters so we were very pleased to be in a booth. We first had fried dill... More

We had a cheese, bacon, jalapeno affair, that was outstanding. Mine was gluten free, with sweet potato fries. Great service, and no wait for a group table.

We love our local Black Hills Burger and Bun. Food is always good. Seating can be a wait during tourist season. Service is always good. Check hours they are open/days they are open so you won't be disappointed if you can't get in. Love the pay it forward note board!

This is a small place, it was full, but we got a table after a short wait. The burgers, as advertised, are the best in the Black Hills area. Service is friendly and prompt, place is clean

There's a reason why this popular burger joint fills up to the point that they have to flip the sign to closed in the summer. This really is the best burger anywhere near the Black Hills. The burgers are 6 oz patties, and the variety of toppings means there's something amazing for everyone. Get there early. It's worth it.

The place seems busy all the time. We had to wait for a couple of minutes to get a table. Honestly, the food had so much of flavors in it and was worth waiting.

Really loved this place. My wife and I dropped in for lunch during a recent stopover in Custer. Honestly, we were pretty skeptical when the people who ran the motel where we were staying told us that Black Hills Burger and Bun Co. had the "best burger in America." We were like, "Yeah, right." But as it happens, we had... More
