Buščina is our top choice around Umag. Everything is perfect - from the starters to the desserts, along with the atmosphere. They make their own olive oil and were one of the first restaurants that started offering Istrian beef (boškarin) on the menu.

Excellent food in the middle of nowhere. All the dishes we ordered were very good. You need to book it before to be sure you find place. Truly recommend scallops with truffles, polenta with scampi and Mille feuille dessert & pistachio souffle

Totally dissapointed! Overpriced for what we get, I ordered ravioli with tartuffi and I got 3 ravioli and no tartuffi!! And it cost 140 HRK, salad with occtopus was with no occtopus and costs 140 HRK. The only good thing was bread and olive oil. Never coming back.

Good food bad service

The place is really nice and the food was good. They even went an extra mile and prepared a gluten-free vegetarian meal (not on the menu). BUT the service was very poor. Sadly, the staff was not friendly, we waited for more than an hour and we felt as if we were bothering them. We definitely believe this place can do much better. Fingers crossed.

We had dinner here, the ambient is really peacefull, perfect for hanging out with friends. The food was really really good all of it. Would defenetly recommend. The prices are higher but for the food we got it was defenetly worth it.

We passed this great restaurant by chance and made a reservation there. The staff were very friendly and helpful. In the evening we were warmly welcomed again and placed at a nicely laid table. The service staff extremely friendly and also laid up for small jokes. The food then inspired us even more! Every course is a poem! Whether fish, meat, vegetables, truffle dishes or desserts it was all fantastic in taste and tasted so good that we reserved it for another evening! Again everything was perfect! Also worth mentioning is the beautiful ambience! The price-performance ratio fits perfectly! We felt completely comfortable and will definitely come back next holiday! PS: absolutely try the homemade yogurt ice cream with sea salt and balsamic!!! Sounds not so great at first but a taste explosion! Wonderful!

Just perfect. Food was really delicious. The waitress gave us good advices and was very friendly. For the begging we took carpaccio boškarin and šurlice with truffles, both perfect. For the main course beefsteak with truffles and grilled scampi. Again perfect. Dessert: chocolate cake and Mille feuille- delicious! The owner was very friendly too, she took care about the guests. It was our second visit, but not the last. Hope to see you again soon. Thank you for a nice dinner!

Very good food in a charming location

We ate in this nice restaurant recommended by Italian friends (met through their Croatian friends). Ate a raw appetizer, a meat carpaccio, a sliced steak, a fillet with green pepper, a pasta with courgettes and shrimp and a pistachio and strawberry dessert. All truly special, cooked with care and fresh ingredients! Ate very very well. The staff and especially the owner are very courteous and nice. Congratulations, we will definitely be back!!!

Great local restaurant with friendly service

Just in the middle of nowhere between Savudrjia and Umag an hidden gem. The menu is quite sofisticated offering meat and fish. I had a fantastic home made ravioli with scampi and truffle and some classical fish apetizers. Good local wine or a big wine list. Price was 50 euro not cheap but worth it for what I had. Beautiful ambience! I ll ho back for sure!

Atmosphere and service was excellent. The food was also very good. Only the steak was not medium (ordered so), was well done and dry. When we ordered a house wine, it was little spider inside. It was no big deal. They brought us new bottle, the apologised and end the ende they get us some shots for free. They are also flexible with the food for the kids.

It was wonderful to have lunch in the restaurant by the warmth of the fire. Very nice restaurant, with professional and friendly staff and delicious food. I recommend this restaurant. Prices are a little higher (5% to 10%) than in other places around but worth it.

Very nice restaurant, with professional staff and really amazing and delicious food. I tried fishmenu and I enjoyed every plate. Amazing, harmony of flavours. I definitely recommend this restaurant. The only thing I missed was music that would make atmosphere even more warm and 'konoba' magic
