As you would expect from a Four Seasons, the atmosphere was dramatic, impeccable with seamless and unpretentious great service from the valet service to the food servers. We split a Caesar salad and got the ebi (shrimp) risotto and paella; both rice dishes. The Caesar salad had very little taste with bland flavor (I usually like a Caesar with a... More

The Beach Tree is located just a stones throw from the Ocean in the Four Seasons Hualalai Resort. Whether you desire a beautiful dinner party for a large group or just a nice glass of wine and a handcrafted pizza, the Beach tree is our go to spot in Kona. You can't go wrong here.

Our favorite dining spot at the resort! A convivial location right on the beach, arrive just before sunset to get a good seat to hear the wonderful live Hawaiian music. An expensive, broad wine list is available and accompanies a nice range of Italian-inflected menu items. The restaurant is casually elegant and prices are high but the food and ambiance... More

Our service here was incredible and the food was equally divine. We were greeted in the driveway and our car was immediately valeted. The property was stunning and our table was a stone's throw from the rolling surf. Food was great, especially the cocktails and the bruschetta to start. The dessert (bon bons) was delicious and we heard the banana... More

Polite wait staff and an interesting menu. The ceviche was white fish, presented in a lovely container, accompanied by chewy chips. I believe they were sweet potato chips. I didn't care for the chips but the ceviche was excellent.

Over the 20 years we've been coming to The Four Seasons Hualala'i Beach Tree has gone through many transformations, the best being five or six years ago when it went full Italian. The opening chef was a wonder. Even though he has moved on, the essence is the same. We eat lunch here every day and dinner most nights. Lunch... More

Both the lobster salad appetizer and the paella dish had this same odd/unpleasant flavor. My husband called it leather boot, and my daughter called it copper coin flavor. When I asked the waitress she said it was a specific "curry-type" seasoning. Our family loves traditional curry/Asian seasonings. The lobster and curry dish together were $100 of inedible dishes for us.... More

Whenever we travel, and find ourselves near a Four Seasons, we try to visit one of their restarants for a few hours and enjoy the atmosphere. We've yet to be disappointed, and this was no exception. The facility is ocean side, with beautiful views and the sound of crashing waves. Our server, Piialoha, was friendly, informative and attentive. She is... More

The food at the Beach Tree was delicious, and the location is perfect. Attire is resort casual. Dining is open air, but under roof, so you can hear and see the ocean. We liked the shrimp scampi really well.

The restaurant advertises as Italian so we tried their pizza. Not up to the standard (especially taking the exorbitant prices into account). Trace amount of cheap cheese which does not taste like italian mozzarella at all. Prosciutto rather sinewy and stringy.

Renowned for its signature style of "barefoot elegance," the transformed Beach Tree has a Hawaiian beach house feel marked by 16-foot (5-metre) vaulted ceilings and expansive water views. Trellised seating allows for al fresco dining, and outdoor lounge spaces set the stage for the perfect beachfront cocktail. Chef de Cuisine Nick Mastrascusa – formerly of 57 restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel New York – oversees a menu featuring California cuisine with Italian influences. All wines on the wine list are offered by the glass, half carafe and full bottle. Cocktails feature tropical ingredients, fresh fruit and original combinations, and include the Beach Tree Smash, which mixes pear and lime, and Tom's Pink Shirt, which combines guava liqueur, fresh Waimea strawberries and house-made sweet and sour made from agave nectar and fresh lime juice.
