Had a couple of drinks and some food, tacos and empanada...asked for check or bill, and got clobbered 50% tax rate on final amount.... queried it but was fobbed off. Little explanation, just said that it the way it is..odd, every other place i've been in Seattle, the state and county tax is only 10% of bill amount, is this... More

I went out with a friend here while on a trip to Seattle. It was one of the best experiences I have had at a bar anywhere. The drink menu is almost overwhelming - they have over 500 different rums available, and a wide selection of mixed drinks as well. The food comes out in small portions, but the richness... More

I was here on a date at around 7 PM. The drinks we had were excellent to say the least! My food was good, but my date's food was not. They have great pulled pork tacos! The service was great! Their food is almost hit or miss depending on what you're ordering. Their prices are on the higher side for... More

We recently had a night-before-wedding dinner here for out-of-town guests & relatives. We rented the whole place from 6p-9p. It was a blast. Rumba is a bar, not a restaurant, but they cater events like ours. In the usual bar setup, there are approx. 60 seats (combination of chairs and booths). The staff put a few seats away, put out... We went here for a pre-wedding party and were so impressed! The food was delicious, and so were the drinks. I especially loved the portobello mushroom tacos. The restaurant has a fun atmosphere that was great for mingling and the perfect setting for the party. The service was also great. All in all, highly recommended as an event venue!

We went initially and tried a few drinks and appetizers and was told about tiki night. So we went back for a second night and was dazzled by the bartender! Both the waitress and bartenders were very knowledgeable about all the rums and liquors. They made us some amazing tiki drinks (lots of liquor and not overly sweet). The pork... More

Came in for a little something different and got it. Specialty drinks are a must. Bartenders do a great job but aren't overly chatty. Tapia seafood dishes are tasty and the fried full red snapper was square cut for easy eating and one of the more interesting things to look at. Menu not overwhelmingly large but enough for all tastes.

We have visiited Seattle twice in 3 years and would NOT MISS a trip to Rumba. With hundreds of choices of rums and rum drinks, it offers a unique experience that seems unable to be duplicated. The staff is amazing, attentive and informed. Our group of 5 began with "flights" of different rums, to compare and contrast the options. Rumba... More

Came here for cocktails and snacks on a Saturday night was quite unimpressed. The service staff were very unfriendly and seemed put out to have to serve my friend and I. The cocktails were okay, but the food seemed hastily prepared and undercooked. It would have been okay but it was such an unfriendly vibe, I wouldn't recommend it. Nice... More
