You really can't go wrong. I had the pulled pork sandwich. The pork was moist & not a lot of bark which could sway a persons definition of good. The meat was piled high - the bun was grilled (an absolute necessity imho) the side of cole slaw was good - thick green and red cabbage (slightly mayo ish) they... More

People and atmosphere are very nice at this neighborhood BBQ joint. Unfortunately the ribs are dreadful. While totally tender and fall off the bone, they completely lack in taste and have no smoke in them at all. To add insult to injury, the sauces are insipid versions of the BBQ styles of various states like Texas, Tennessee and the Carolinas... More

I was born and raised on Texas bbq and this is a nice retreat in Seattle! The ribs are delicious and fall off the bone. The sauce choices are a treat and change up each bite of your meal and we all know it's the "sides" that make the meal, and their choices are wonderful and yummy.

C'mon, sometimes you just want brisket! The food is good and the staff friendly. Parking is a little tricky, or find a metered zone. Service is quick and efficient when they are busy. There is a good selection on the menu.

I have a professional smoker that I have used a lot over eight years so I am always picky when in comes to BBQ that I have not tried before. Been wanting to try out the Boar's Nest for over a year and finally stopped in for lunch today. Small but decent seating and a great menu that looks to... More

I had lunch here with a friend recently. My sandwich was very good and the staff was very friendly. There's a small outdoor seating area in front, which is a great place to sit if you have a dog.

They do a good job getting the smoke into the meats and serve good sized portions of the meats. Their sides are mixed. Fried pickles are a bit greasy and sweet potato fries a bit overdone and cool. It is suggested that they increase the portion size on the beans and slaw. Too small for a relatively inexpensive side. Seattle... More

The boars nest is only a couple blocks away from my apartment. I just moved here from New York and I've tried several other barbecue places here in Seattle and none compare to the boars nest. I've tried several of their menu items and everything is awesome. Their meats have such a nice smoke flavor to them but not too... More
