3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW

Went with a group of 6. 1 ordered steak, 5 ordered seafood. The next morning 5 were very sick. Everyone had appetizers and dessert, not sure where the tummy problem came from.

We came for lunch and were promptly greeted and seated in this large restaurant. Most seats have a view of the water and the interior is nicely decorated. Our server, Adesn, was superb. She answered all our questions about the food AND the ferry to Bainbridge. The two course lunch had a nice variety and was the perfect amount of... More

Actually, if it isn't "Things change, and not for the better," it's (likely) "Things were never so great at home, but memory has glazed them over." I lived in Seattle for most of the 1970s, and Ivar's was a big part of the background as well as a seafood staple. The Ivar family was also very generous during the Fourth... More

If you are in Seattle...you have to eat at Ivar's! I went twice and had the salmon both times. I would've gone a third time if I could have.

Went for lunch before the Seahawks game. The clam chowder was amazing and the fish and chips were spot on. Had a window seat with a great view and the service was exceptional. We will be back!

We went to Ivar's for lunch. We love the spacious and warm waterside environment. The chowder, fish and chips, and salmon were all fantastic. A great experience, and staff are compensated well and don't require a tip.

We dined at Ivar's before attending a concert. The waterfront location is extremely convenient, right by the ferry terminal and just a short walk from the concert hall and other central Seattle attractions, and the view of the harbor is great. We were pushed for time, since our ferry had been delayed, and we let our server know we were... More

Amazing food and excellent service. About half the tables are on the waterfront. The fish bar is adjoining the restaurant, but just eat at the restaurant. It's pretty loud but the food is worth it.

We stopped here for a simple lunch while walking around Seattle. This was our first visit and we were delighted by the chowder and salmon and fries that we got at the outside walk-up counter. Sharing one of each of these was just enough for two people. Prices were great, and the lunch was delicious. I would come back here... More

Description
Ivar's Original Acres of Clams has been a tradition since 1938. Seattle's most historic full service seafood restaurant is poised on Seattle's romantic colorful waterfront at Pier 54. This attractive yet informal restaurant has a wharf-like feel which showcases stellar waterfront views of Washington State ferries, Fire Station #3's waterside operations and Puget Sound. Our chefs create award-winning unique preparations to reflect the season's bounty, yet still showcase Ivar Haglund's world famous original recipes. You'll dine on wild Alaskan salmon, deep-water halibut, Alaskan King Crab, Dungeness Crab, jumbo prawns, manila clams, weathervane scallops just to name a few. Due to Ivar's longstanding relationships and purchasing power in the market, check the fresh market catches showcasing exclusive runs from the Northwest. As always, you can depend on our traditional seafood favorites featuring fresh steamed clams, fish 'n chips, Puget Sound clam chowder and much more. Ivar's Acres of Clams offers a variety of snack, dining and cocktail options for happy hour, lunch, dinner, banquets, groups and special events.
