We had a delightful dining experience at this iconic Seattle waterfront restaurant. We were greeted warmly and very promptly seated at a window table. The restaurant is spacious and cozy at the same time, with a great bar and oversized fireplace. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was exceptionally well prepared.

We stopped there specifically for the fish chips based on the reviews I had seen on TripAdvisor. It didn't disappoint. And we had fries leftover. They encourage you to feed the seagulls. So we did. Interesting experience. I think I recommend it. The food was awesome.

I had lunch twice at this place and each time it was yummy. The view is awesome and the service is good. We had salmon, crab cakes and bruschetta. All of it was delicious.

We had a big round table near the windows. We were entertained by a bunch of seals in the bay while we waited for our food. Everything was delicious - fish and chips, chicken alfredo, fried clams, and more. We liked that gratuity was included in the menu prices. Our waiter was attentive but not overbearing. We'll go back for... More

Clam chowder soup was great, it is a restaurant in the fancy side but with affordable prices. The service staff was very helpful and answered all of our questions in a satisfactory manner. I had the salmon and it was perfectly cooked.

Excellent lunch! We had fried clams, fried shrimp and chips and of course their original clam chowder. Shrimp was delicious!!!! Wait was around 20 minutes so we opted to sit at the bar instead. Great restaurant!

The hubby and I had the white clam chowder and it was delicious. While we didn't try the fish n chips, we were envious of the other patrons who had a heaping mound of fried fish and French fries on their plates. It looked really good!

We arrived an hour early for our reservations and they accommodated us without any issues. The server was very knowledgeable, even offered us separate checks for the three different families. Service and food were wonderful. This wasn't my first trip to this restaurant. Each time it's been the same - well worth it!

I have stopped at this Ivar's for 45+ years. I recall catching the ferry to Bainbridge and my parents would take us girls over to Ivars. Sadly, once the original Ivar died a few years ago, the outside bar food is not the same. In fact, I would not eat there again. Luckily, for a bit more money you can... More

Ivar's Original Acres of Clams has been a tradition since 1938. Seattle's most historic full service seafood restaurant is poised on Seattle's romantic colorful waterfront at Pier 54. This attractive yet informal restaurant has a wharf-like feel which showcases stellar waterfront views of Washington State ferries, Fire Station #3's waterside operations and Puget Sound. Our chefs create award-winning unique preparations to reflect the season's bounty, yet still showcase Ivar Haglund's world famous original recipes. You'll dine on wild Alaskan salmon, deep-water halibut, Alaskan King Crab, Dungeness Crab, jumbo prawns, manila clams, weathervane scallops just to name a few. Due to Ivar's longstanding relationships and purchasing power in the market, check the fresh market catches showcasing exclusive runs from the Northwest. As always, you can depend on our traditional seafood favorites featuring fresh steamed clams, fish 'n chips, Puget Sound clam chowder and much more. Ivar's Acres of Clams offers a variety of snack, dining and cocktail options for happy hour, lunch, dinner, banquets, groups and special events.
