When you find a dining establishment that meets your expectations and needs, you tend to return there when ever you visit that particular city. Such is the case with Ivar's. Whenever the opportunity presents itself, this is one of the first places we will visit when visiting Seattle. This iconic restaurant has been a staple of the the Seattle waterfront... More

Overrated and overpriced for me. Slow service, rather ordinary small oysters, fridge cold tuna. OK, but clearly too dependent on tourists.

The views were good, and the food was delicious. My boyfriend and I both got crab with two cocktails.

Their clam chowder is marvelous! We did have a bit of a wait for a table but it was well worth it! Fish and chips was really good and plentiful for the price. The clam strips were really good as well!

We were greeted right away by a friendly hostess. We were seated within minutes at a great table along the windows. Our waitress was friendly and made some recommendations when it came to what drinks were good. We ordered the Prawns and Chips and a salad....Wow!!! They were excellent! Prices for the quality of food, service and atmosphere were spot... More

Ate at the outside seafood bar and got two orders of fish & chips. Great weather to eat outside, even for mid-February. Fish pieces were on the small side, but tasty. Fries were ok, certainly not the best I've had. Was great to watch the ferry come and go as well as other boats & ships, including the Seattle Fire... More

Enjoyed excellent fish and chips at Ivar's Aces of Clams restaurant. My husband really enjoyed the seafood chowder. The restaurant was clean and attractive and we enjoyed a fabulous view seated along the window area. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

This is where my wife and I went when we first met. We have been in many Ivar's locations in the last 19 years, enjoying them all.

The place is huge, in a good location, can be romantic, good ambiance, with a very clean restroom. The service was fast, staff was friendly, our server was so nice and pretty. The food and the cocktails were so yummy. The whole dining experience was amazing!!!

When I go to a fish place, I always try the fish & chips. You would expect spectacular at a place like this, especially considering their reputation, but the only thing spectacular was the decor, the price and the view. Fish was pretty ordinary. Batter was a little thick for my taste. Fries had lost their crispness by the time... More

Ivar's Original Acres of Clams has been a tradition since 1938. Seattle's most historic full service seafood restaurant is poised on Seattle's romantic colorful waterfront at Pier 54. This attractive yet informal restaurant has a wharf-like feel which showcases stellar waterfront views of Washington State ferries, Fire Station #3's waterside operations and Puget Sound. Our chefs create award-winning unique preparations to reflect the season's bounty, yet still showcase Ivar Haglund's world famous original recipes. You'll dine on wild Alaskan salmon, deep-water halibut, Alaskan King Crab, Dungeness Crab, jumbo prawns, manila clams, weathervane scallops just to name a few. Due to Ivar's longstanding relationships and purchasing power in the market, check the fresh market catches showcasing exclusive runs from the Northwest. As always, you can depend on our traditional seafood favorites featuring fresh steamed clams, fish 'n chips, Puget Sound clam chowder and much more. Ivar's Acres of Clams offers a variety of snack, dining and cocktail options for happy hour, lunch, dinner, banquets, groups and special events.
