Watch out! They give you fresh bread with olive oil and special salt--after you have already ordered! Of course you will will want one of their fantastic salads, and a pasta or main, and then a dessert; but you will explode! For this reason, my very successful plan on my last visit was this: order salad and dessert. It was... More

Stopped into Volterra about 2pm mid holiday week with a party of 4 near the end of their lunch run. Our waiter was great as was the service! Our food came fast and the Tagliatelle with Lamb Ragu that I had was wonderful! We had the "Lunch Special" with Pasta and a dessert and finished with their Tiramisu. We will... More

When you have to argue with your waiter and the manager to make a substitution on a menu because they don't have the item, it is disappointing. What a way to begin a dinner with good friends! And if you're having an early dinner on a Saturday night, and they list crispy herb chicken on the menu as a special... More

Told by the proprietor that they were only open for happy hour, then that they did not serve the type of food that I was looking for. Really, Italian resturant, Italian food-not rocket science since I have lived in this town for 10 years and have eaten here on multiple occasions and was very intentional in my selection. To say... Have been to Volterra several times and this most recent with visiting Italians...prawns, ravioli, lamb were all good. Food is generally heavy but for American-Italian food quite decent. Banana bread pudding was exceptional!!

This place is amazing. Very good food and great staff. I highly recommend going here. I've gone here several times during several different seasons, and it's always a pleasant experience.

My friends and I went here for dine around Seattle week. I had the beet salad, pork belly and banana bread pudding. It was very good. It wasn't the best dish I've ever had but I would go back to try others for sure. I love the location although parking is terrible (to be expected). Volterra would make for a... More

Read the menu online, noticed some reviews were critical but wanted some pasta so off we went. No ambiance, the restaurant part is a large square room with too many tables and stained ceilings. Wine prices are extortionate - $14 for a small glass of average sauvignon blanc. I had the pork jowls with wild mushrooms and truffle oil. The... More

Okay. To say I love Italian food is an understatement. My ex husband thought I was Italian. But breakfast? I simply had the scramble with wild mushrooms, fontina, arugula and white truffle oil and my daughter the Milano Milano. The food was so amazing I wanted to stay there until dinner and eat again. Run there as fast as you... More

From the homemade fennel salt (can I say OMG) to the worlds best ceasar salad I have ever eaten to the Pork Jowls with wild mushroom and truffle butter (don't think about it-just do it) - everything was a complete taste sensation. The most amazing food I have ever eaten! The service was superb. Super friendly and extremely nice.
