We had drinks in the beautiful bar downstairs - classic and lovely but a little over priced. we enjoyed our time there.

Hotels don't often have excellent breakfasts, but the Captain Cook's morning café fit the bill. Everyone's selection was very good. Perfect poached eggs. THAT is sometimes the true test of a breakfast place! Quick service in a quiet setting. Very classy hotel, by the way.

This hotel is big and in the heart of Anchorage. My room is big. The furnishings are basic. The room is clean. The bathroom is small and functional. This seems to be a place where people gather for land tours and cruises. That's why I'm here. The rooms are expensive for what they are by lower 48 standards.

One of our favorite dining experiences anywhere. Not inexpensive ... but the view, the atmosphere, the exotic appetizers and drinks made for a wonderful evening out. Extensive wine selection, excellent bartender, very friendly and accommodating service. If I didn’t live in San Diego I’d go there often. Two thumbs up!

great view of inlet, a bit more spendy than Simon and Seaforts, but very romantic. A nice date night or special occasion.

Travelling as a party of 3 adults, (family) we are on a Princess land tour before our cruise. Our excitement turned sour when we were placed in a room right next to the elevator shaft. Initially we thought a train was going by outside, then we thought it was suitcases being rolled up and down the hallway. It took us... More

We had breakfast here our first morning in Anchorage because we weren't willing to wait in line for an hour and a half for the "popular place". The food was very good. Toward the end of our meal, at the table next to us, a young boy projectile vomited all over the table, and the parent just grabbed him &... More

We have stayed overnight at the Captain Cook a few times, even though we live locally in Anchorage! We enjoy the options they have for dining; in room service, 2-3 restaurants on main floor; and the Crow's Nest on the top floor. They have a great fitness facility, pool and spa. We have enjoyed taking visitors to the Crow's Nest... More

Great hotel! The front desk staff are wonderful! The rooms are large and the beds are so comfortable! And the snacks they had in our room when we checked in were awesome! Everything was very clean.
