I love L A Burdick's hot chocolate. Frankly, it can't be done better anywhere. This is a cup of rich, creamy (yes I mean made with cream), delicious, dark hot chocolate, either blended or single-sourced from various regions, which changes by season (ie, Madagascar, Bolivia). They also have white and milk chocolates if that's more your style. I can't resist... More

Hands down, the best hot chocolate that I have tasted in the USA. If you are serious about your hot chocolate, do visit. I enjoyed the dark chocolate hot cocoa. The chocolate mice are adorable as well.

I have been going to Burdicks forever and their chocolates are wonderful, especially the Harvard Square.

We got to the restaurant after the regular lunch crowd, but we were served with friendly smiles. A nicoise salad, mussels, vicchysoise, and swordfish were all quite good. The liver was just OK, according to the one in our group who liked liver (the others did not even want a bite...). It was a pleasant lunch, though a bit pricey.

Perhaps it is just me, but I find their hot chocolate too thick and too sweet. And their boxed chocolate is so expensive that I can't afford it. I guess the fact that it is expensive may make some think it is extra special, but I don't agree. I had a latte here recently that wasn't very good either and... More

L.A. Burdick, in Cambridge (or Boston) is a one-of-a-kind chocolate store and "salon de the." One the plus side, the chocolates, pastries and beverages (hot and cold) look as good as they are delicious. Anything made of dark chocolate is rich and intense. Though pricey, their miniature chocolate penguins and mice are an original, elegant and tasty gift. Pastries and... More

You must try their cocoa in cold weather. It's very rich and thick, reminds me of hot chocolate in Spain. Probably it's a 1000 calories, but an awesome fall and winter treat. I also love the chocolate nice, the cutest ever!

Both my wife and I have travelled extensively for person trip and work trips to places that craft and serve some of the finest chocolates in the world - Belgium, Switzerland, France, etc. However, the hot chocolate they serve here (especially the milk chocolate version, as opposed to the white chocolate or the dark chocolate versions) is unlike any we... This place has really good sweets and a good atmosphere to seat and enjoy an afternoon snack. It is not cheap but sure it’s worthy.

This is a must visit if you're first time in Cambridge, especially in winter months. An inviting atmosphere with rich chocolate drinks and petite desserts. A bit on the pricey end, but worth a visit for the experience.

Thank Nicky L
