We went out to our local Christmas party to Buckhead's. The restaurant was only so busy but the service was very poor. Never did get some of the drinks we ordered.

Let's admit right off that this is an expensive steakhouse, in line with Mortons or Ruth's Chris ($40-50). That said, since unlike those chains this place includes a salad, potato and veggies with the entree it is a better value. Our dinner tonight included a filet ($50 for the larger size though the smaller would be plenty) which was butter-like,... More

A top notch restaurant that has been a Richmond tradition for years. We celebrated our 46 years of marriage here and it was a delight. Starters include shrimp cocktail, calamari, crab cakes, and scallops. Nice assortment of beers and wines. Specials of the day are available. Entrees include lobster tail, fresh fish, pork chop, salmons, ribeye, filet, NY strip, as... More

First time visitors.....it's tucked in a little shopping area..out of the hustle and bustle. Lovely old world ambiance and so cozy and charming. We were very pleased with everything......food-service-décor. Perfect!

Went after the RVA marathon! Waiter (Richard) gave some great wine options and stayed at a reasonable price. The scallop and beef tataki apps were amazing!!! Steak (filet mig w/ Gorgonzola) was one of the best cooked I've had. Salad and sides are fine but nothing to rave on. Desserts and after dinner drinks were great though . Overall -... More

I, and my three companions, were cordially greeted and ushered into a cosy, well appointed dining area. The light was muted as were the conversations at the many occupied tables around us. The food and the service was most enjoyable, from the Lobster Bisque, to the Lemon Curd & Ginger Mascarpone Cheese Cake. I enjoyed the prime rib-eye steak which... More

My wife and I typically avoid places like this because A. customer service is normally lacking, B. the portions are small, C. the atmosphere is very stuffy and uncomfortable, and D. you get ripped off on inexpensive menu items. Buckhead’s is a near perfect restaurant experience. Our waiter Evan was so nice and helpful. The food was very good. The... More

We went last night for our anniversary after hearing so many wonderful things about Buckhead's for so long (even Daniel Radcliffe raved when he was in town). We had their appetizer of the day which was fried oysters over a bacon aioli with a Guinness reduction. The oysters were fantastic and generous. No bread filling taking up space. The aioli... More

We had a business dinner there with guests from Europe. Our European partners always prefer to have nice juicy meat while they are in Richmond VA. I had been suggested about Buck Heads and even tried once.. I must say it is the best steak in town that accompanied with great wine from STAG's Leap.. Recommend..

This has long (20 years) been one of my goto restaurants for a great steak. And great wine with great service. Went there a few days ago. The rib-eye was not exceptional and the other 3 in our party evaluated their meals similarly; so it seemed that the food quality had slipped a little. The rub was that the pricing... More
