I started off the night asking for a sample of one of the drafts. I was given a good sized sample without question as was one of my compatriots. Despite not calling ahead, our fault, they seated all 9 of us in quick fashion. Drinks were ordered and appetizers on the way. Our server never missed a beat and was... More

Enjoyed a wonderful brunch at Tarrant's choosing the Eggs Florentine benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly and sat atop the creamed spinach, hollandaise sauce and grilled english muffins. The meal was also accompanied by thick bacon and fruit. Tarrant's provides delicious hot cinnamon rolls drizzled with icing to diners and these are difficult to resist. Because it was a birthday... If you're looking for a great old school bar experience in downtown Richmond, Tarrant's is the right spot. Bartenders Ellen and Esther can make all of your favorite cocktails as well as concoct some new ones. Great atmosphere for happy hour.

Walking in enabled us to fully envelop ourselves in the atmosphere. It resembles a classic, rustic establishment with lots of history. The food was equally as pleasant. The complimentary bread was delicious. Pizza was very good and well made. The drinks especially the Old Fashion was great too.

I do a craft show in Richmond every year. And every year, I stay at the Linden Row Inn. And every year, I order from their "room service" menu -- it's the delivery menu for Tarrant's Cafe. And for the past two years, I have found their margarita pizza--cooked in a wood-burning stove--to have been a wonderful respite from hotel... More

Had dinner here with my wife last weekend on a Friday night. It was crowded when we got there at 8PM, but much thinner by 8:30. I had the she crab soup for an appetizer which was to die for. Their Penne with vodka sauce and shrimp was excellent, sporting one of the best vodka sauces I've ever had the... More

Extensive menus are not always good. Not here! You MUST try the shrimp and grits!! The garlic bread. The Greek salad. So much yum!

This is an ideal place for lunch. The hustle and bustle of the restaurant adds to the attractiveness of the environs. There are enough choices on the menu to satisfy most people.

We came here two times and lived the food and the music they played. They have an extensive bar that we did not sample. The servers were friendly and efficient both times.
