This place is quite in a unique location being part of an old monastery in the middle of a forest. It is in the heart of Tuscany and around 20 minutes drive from San Gimignano and Volterra. You have to call or email a few days in advance if you want to have a 100% plant based vegan dinner. The... More

If you are looking for a vegetarian or vegan food this is the place in Tuscany! We had an excellent dinner with all the best organic food collected by the farms of the surroundings. We have eaten a delicious appetizer with crostini with mushrooms collected in the close wood, crostini with tomatoes cultivated by the owner. Then we have eaten... More

Enjoyed our meal here in very atmospheric surroundings. Bread was not great but had three courses of delicious food. The steak was very large! Three courses with wine and coffee came to 80 euro

We stumbled upon this place for lunch whilst driving to San Gimignano from Pisa airport. Great find, delicious simple food and a friendly atmosphere. Well worth stopping by.

This restaurant is in a picturesque setting which is not especially reflected in the interior. The food was good, rustic and ample but the service was slow and not very professional. Several dishes on the menu were not available, which was only revealed when ordering.

This was a huge highlight and had it not been for our local pal Franco, we would never have found it. This is where the Monks from the nearby Abbey eat and the food is absolutely fantastic. Roberta(the owner) runs a fantastic kitchen and their speciality is Chingiale(boar) we had some fresh hand tossed wood fired pizza and wild boar... More

If you want to have an authentic taste of Tuscany - this is the perfect place! Fresh ingredients and a charming family atmosphere (baby included) make this a favorite memory! Location (an old monastery) is unique and interesting too.

This restaurant is located inside the Monastery of San Vivaldo, one of the hidden treasures of Tuscany. Here you can eat a lot of typical special Tuscan dishes which are well cooked by the family who manage the restaurant. The location is fantastic. You will eat inside a monastery and together with monks of San Vivaldo monastery. After a dinner... More
