Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I've been eating at italian restaurants since I was a child and NEVER saw this. I ordered Tagliatele with truffles - €17,90 (not cheap at all compared to similar restaurants in the area). It came without parmesan cheese. I asked for it. When I got...the bill I was astonished to see that I was charged extra €2 for the smallest portion of parmesan cheese I ever received in any restaurant arround the world. No one woud be poorer because 2 Euro but this is a place NEVER to return. N-E-V-E-R. Despite high priced ( others in the area charge between €9 and €11) this policy of adding almost 12% to an already expensive price out this restaurant in the worst category piddiblr.More

Went here for a lunch. We were early and it was not so busy yet. The menu is quite extensive, but we found some nice local Slovenian dishes. The pasta with mushrooms and the dish of the day (beef soup with polenta). The beef soup...came with bread and had 2 pieces of polenta in it. The beef was very tender. We enjoyed the food. The portion size is decent. We closed our meals with a macchiato and an espresso and continued our journey. Well worth the visit!More

Terribly overpriced meal, complete lack of flavor. If you want to leave a place with the feeling you overpaid for less than average food, that's the place to go!

Restsurant with huge number of dishes, of which many are local specialties. Great chouce of food with porcini mushrooms. I ate Idrijski žlikrofi, local version of ravioli, filled with potato.

The waitress was professional and helpfull with the order. I ate local specialty Loka rolls - beef stuffed with boletus, chanterelles and egg in onion sauce with red wine. As a side dish I ordered "žlikrofi" (national dish of Slovenia, Idrija, made from dough with...a potato filling and a characteristic shape). Everything was very tasty! My boyfriend ordered the Trout with chard and was very nicely done and delicious. Overall we were very pleased with the restaurant and the food. I would recommend you try it.More

We ordered a fried chicken with potatoe salad - got some cold potatoes with some tasteless white stuff. A house speciality - beef slices with rocket salad was just weird, meat looked dead and without any color. We were really disappointed. Plus it was expensive....The waiter was ful of himself. We don't recommend.More

Stoped by with a friend for a Sunday lunch after exploring Škofja Loka. They offer few tables outside in a small terrace. Setting is quite ok, but maybr chairs would need a bit modern update. They offer a selection of local and seasonal dishes, but...we have decided for a pizza. A lady serving us was sooooo slow. She looked like she was tired of everything and life in general and she even walked so slowly when bringing the food and drinks. No passion for food and no feeling for people. I also did not like that kitchen staff was sitting and smoking outside by the table. Staff should have a separate place for work break. Even if pizza was good i would not come back because of the staff.More

Comfortable space. Kind and attentive service. Nice atmosphere and design. Very good food and an opportunity to taste traditional local kitchen. We enjoyed very much. Try the local klobasa and struklj. Good reasons to come back.

Visiting Slovenia to see my cousin who brought me here to his local "bar". I loved it. Very good beer and perfect local food served by very friendly and helpful staff. This is apparently one of the oldest builldings in the region and has a...good traditional feel to it.More

The restaurant is in the basement of one of the oldest buildings in the city, but it looks more like a restaurant than a medieval basement. Small windows under the ceiling do not let much light to get in, but there is enough light from..."other sources". The lady who served us at our visit was fast and professional. I ate local specialty Loka rolls. It was tasty and it was definitely worth trying it. It is beef stuffed with boletus, chanterelles and egg in onion sauce with red wine and roast polenta. They also serve many other local and traditional dishes and pizzas as well. For the dessert I had Pile Loka and it was also very good and in accordance with the name also in sufficient quantitty.More
