Went here for lunch and sat at the bar. They were just opening up and we were the first customers. The Bartender and Waitstaff are as friendly as can be, true Southern Hospitality! We both had the Lemon Salmon Entree and a bottle of the Kaiken Malbec. The Salmon was cooked to perfection! Will be back next time in Atlanta.

The is a fantastic place for dinner and beer. They brew their own beer and also have MANY other local options. The food is amazing and plentiful. They atmosphere is also interesting and unique. The service was quick and efficient. The pieces are reasonable for the amount of food you get. I highly recommend this place!

Set up a party and had an issue with management. Very poor communication and General manager handled situation very unprofessionally. While dealing with the situation didn't even introduce him self and even though a staff member blatantly made a mistake we still suffered the repercussions.

Walked to this restaurant from our hotel in the evening for dinner. It was busy but we were seated right away. My husband and I both had a beer and hamburger. I remember my beer was called Hopexplosion which was full of fruity flavor and ending with the bitter hops. Definitely give it a try if you like a dark... More

Staying just around the corner for business meetings this seemed a good alternative spot to the hotel bar and restaurant and so it proved. Good good, good beer, good service and good atmosphere. All the ingredients for a very pleasant evening.

I was in one of the downtown hotels for a conference. Max Lager's was a short walk away. The place was busy with a good vibe, even on a blustery Sunday evening in February. The interior is brick and exposed wood, like a lot of brewpubs these days. I had a sampler of their beers; all were quite good with... More

I shuffled down to Max Lager's from my nearby hotel. The menu had a short list of appetizers. I chose a flat bread; meager portion but reasonably tasty. Great in-house/local/regional beer selection! I chose the Max Lager's Hopxplosion; citrusy, rich, hoppy. I selected the Fried chicken with mashed potatoes and collard greens; light portion but good flavors. I passed on... More

I make a visit to Max Lager's every time I'm in town. The beer selection is wonderful and the food is great. The pork chop, fried chicken, bison burger are all excellent choices and a must have.

Had a quick layover in Atlanta and took a chance by googling breweries in Atlanta. We had the top sirloin and creole shrimp and both were absolutely wonderful. The beer was fantastic! Prices I felt were a little high by looking at the menu but once we tasted the food we completely understood why.

Thank Jordyn W

Max Lager's was one of the first restaurants to bring the fresh and natural wood-fired menu concept to Atlanta. The art of cooking with wood enhances the Max Lager's experience with bold flavors simply not found with alternative cooking methods. We feel that the investment made in the wood-fired grill pays great dividends to our guests. All Max Lager's menu items are prepared daily from scratch. Wood-fired steaks, burgers, seafood, ribs, and pizza are Max Lager's signature items. An inspired selection of entree salads and pastas add variety to the American menu. Max Lager's is the oldest brewpub in Georgia, opening in March 1998. Many of Max Lager's house brewed beers have won major awards including two awards at the Great American Beer Festival in Colorado. Max Lager's offers a full bar, wines, local and national craft beers, with a 32 tap draft system in our upstairs bar highlighting a selection of the best craft beers. If you are looking flavorful food and drinks in a warm and inviting atmosphere - Max Lager's is the place to be! Cheers.
