The music was so awesome! When we ordered drinks the bartenders were super friendly. I asked to sample two beers before deciding and the bartender happily accommodated me. The sound of the music was perfect. We could still hear each other if we wanted to share how much we liked a song. Some music venues are so loud you cannot... More

Incredible Blue Grass sounds of the Dappled Grays with Greg Earnest on banjo! Small but good food menu and lots of alcohol choices. It's hard for me to be objective since Iove I this group, but the acoustics are excellent and the venue is fun for all age groups.

Went to visit this place on Saturday night. Cover charge of $30 to enter for the live music. Would take credit card but wants to charge me $4.00 for the charge. First of all, an upcharge for a taking a VIsa card is illegal. Second a credit card fee is about 3% not 13%. I have reported this place to... More

Nice venue in a great location to midtown. Cozy, intimate place to see live shows. Came to see Virginia Schenck with her band on 3/7/15. The singer and band were on fire with fun, upbeat sets!! Large selection of libations. Great place to be able to see and hear up close. We did not come to eat but rather for... More

I visited the Red Light Cafe for the first time to see Leo & Anto (of the Saw Doctors/Waterboys) last night. Really love this place. Cool, intimate setting with a small stage at the front corner. Convenient, easy to find location. Parking was not an issue the evening I visited, even though it's in Midtown. Adequate sound. Lighting was a... More

We went to hear New York's Rachel Zylstra play. Cover was $10. This is a great place to hear live music. My husband had a few beers. There was one he wasn't particularly fond of and they took it back easily. We also ordered bbq and cheddar pie. It was surprisingly good. It came with an equally decent salad. I... More

Red Light is not so much a cafe as venue for unique musicians to perform while you drink a beer or coke and munch on very basic food/snacks. This small places hold something like a 100 people with everything focus on the stage rather then TV's or the bar. Nothing fancy almost lawn furniture seating but if your musician or... More

We had such a great time. The place was packed, but the bartender was really good and on top of it. It is a listening room, so no table service. We ordered from the bar and they brought the food to us. The sound was great and no interruptions. Looking forward to going again.

Doorman never looked up from his paper. Just said " Seven each" . As we entered he didn't even try to move his little desk over so my wheelchair could get through. Food not good, limited to ham / turkey sandwiches , very basic.
