Sits high on the hill and passed my many, but really worth a stop. Good wines and big potions. Some of the mains are share size and actually great value.

Been here many times. More recently have had menu del Dia at 9.50 euros. Starters great (soup massive!) and generally we have roast chicken and chips. Other dishes include pork and a lovely Spanish version of sausage and chips with about 3 different types of Spanish sausage including blood sausage ie black pudding. Chicken is cooked to perfection in a... More

We found this by chance on our walk up the hill and were very pleasantly surprised- a good value Spanish 'local' . Very friendly service. Menu of the day was great value at €9.50 for two courses. Also had the kidneys -delicious and the broad bean and ham starter was fabulous. My daughter loved her said and the meatballs were... More

Always worth a visit. A friendly welcome, good wine and food at very reasonable prices. A great location just down from the castle where you spend a very leisurely lunch or dinner with the swifts screaming past to add to the atmosphere.

We drove to Sabreňa for the day and walked up to the castle from which there are great views. On the way down we stopped at the Martin restaurant for lunch. Most tables are inside but we ate out by the side of the narrow road winding down from the top of the hill to the town below. We almost... More

I agree with the other recent reviews, this place looks like a tourist trap but pleasantly surprised. We went for the menu del dia. Soup wasn't amazing but my daughter loved it. Salads lovely and fresh, and the half roast chicken with home made fries was succulent and scrumptious. No room for desserts or coffee after that. The venue is... More

We enjoyed a peaceful, warm and sunny lazy lunch on the outside terrace with ok grub and a friendly owner. We were the only tourists there, a few locals coming in and out on monday lunchtime in Jan. Owner was friendly and we had good entrecote and chicken (the large one). Salads were decent and hot garlic soup was interesting!... More

Family group of five including two children for our final evening meal in Salobrena. Fairly straightforward menu (I had a super swordfish steak), very welcoming staff (family?) and perfectly good service. We loved being on the decking outside, watching the evening passers-by.

Located inside a maze of narrows streets on your way up / down Salobreña Castle, with posters advertising the menu deals starting at 9.95 (not including drink) we feared this place might have all the credits to be a tourist trap. Yet, we find the meal decent, the portions reasonably sized and the quality and variety of dishes offered in... More

The worst meal of my life. I ordered stake (15 euros) and it was weird and somehow slimy. Maybe it had been frozen or something. I ate one bite and took the rest with me in a napkin and fed it to the stray cats on my way home. I didn´t know one could go that wrong with a stake.... More
