Tasty and fresh mussels in a very nice sauce...not so impressed with the chips, especially with the local competition at fish & chip restaurants/takeaways...but i didn’t come here for the chips. The mussels were spot on!

We were staying close by and decided to try the restaurant as the menu looked interesting there was a good choice and the food was excellent, The service was very good and the ambience of the hotel was lovely.

Beautiful food and friendly service. The roast beef was to die for!! I had never been here before and loved it. Mum and dad didn’t even realise they did roasts and we will definitely be back. Great service and chat with Jess too!

The quality of the food served is excellent. I had the dressed Cromer crab for my main course and it was beautifully presented and extremely tasty. The restaurant is smart, the waiting staff are very friendly but professional. It is very good value for money...More

Thank you for your comments. There is a history about Larry the Lobster. He was part of the Crab and Lobster Festival a few years ago and has become part of the Hotel's family

My wife was perturbed to find crab shell in her starter and a fish bone in her main course "fish fillet". Staff were completely indifferent when she commented about this. My food was OK but not special. Overall feeling that the staff couldn't be bothered...More

As we were in nearby self catering accommodation, this Bistro (part of the Cliftonville Hotel) was conveniently positioned at the bottom of the road. Friendly service on each of the three days we dined there. Lovely menu with a sheet of special dishes changing daily....More

My husband and I enjoyed a really lovely evening Bolton’s Bistro. The food, wine, and service were all absolutely faultless. Extensive menu, in which everything Sounded tempting! Beautifully presented food, hot and so delicious. We will definitely be back! Thankyou so much x
