Location and contact

The Plume of Feathers is a 17th century traditional Cornish coastal pub, offering hand pull beers and great food. On May 1st 2016 we opened our 5 en-suite B&B rooms above the Plume, the rooms are beautifully appointed and the convenience of being in the center of Portscatho is a great base to discover the Roseland. Colin & Paul Marriott, yes twins, you're not seeing double, took over the Plume from Graham Thomas in October 2013 after Grahams mighty 35 year reign and are indebted to him for his grace and support. His legacy of a friendly welcoming pub continues to be paramount.

You get a good fulsome pub meal at the Plume. We visit every Winter and over the past couple of years have not been disappointed. The fish and chips are particularly good. There’s a specials board which usually offers some interesting dishes. There’s a good...More

Very nice village pub with a good selection of beers and a nice menue. Food a little pricey. Only observation was the the stew from the specials board was quite salty. Other than that not far off 5 stars.

Excellent lunch and good quality beer very nice cosy atmosphere as well and freindly staff. My wife loved the chips best she has had in Cornwall. The menu has a good choice plus good variety of light bites as well

Picture the scene. Two starving women at 3pm on a Sunday. Nowhere in Cornwall seems to be open after 3pm. I was ready to eat my own foot. Suddenly we stumbled across the Plume. Not only were we embraced with open arms but they love...More

We visited this pub following a recommendation from the B&B and were not disappointed. It looks very old and worn inside but that only adds to the charm. The staff were very pleasant and the service was prompt and efficient. The food was very good....More

We have had some lovely Sunday roasts here in the past but yesterday when we visited we were very disappointed with the Roast Beef. Unfortunately it was so difficult to cut that we thought that the knives must be blunt. When we mentioned this to...More

Hi, we are open on Christmas day for 2 hours just for drinks, no food I'm afraid. Dogs are more than welcome, there can sometimes be more dogs than people in the pub so they must be on leads. All other days, food is... More
