We went for Sunday lunch while staying at a nearby holiday home and were very impressed with the quality of the food and service. Very quick & friendly staff and the Sunday lunch menu was incredible value for delicious top quality food. The chef came...out for a chat at the end of service which was a nice touch. Top marks and we’ll be back - wish we had a local restaurant as good as this where we live !More

Had a meal here one evening of our 4 day stay in Comrie and lunch on the Sunday. Both absolutely fabulous. Interesting menu choices, all delicious and the Sunday lunch was amazing value. Wine prices not silly which is always good. The owners are lovely...and very friendly. Will always eat there when we are in Comrie.More

Went here for dinner this Wednesday, accommodating our later time window.. Service was personable and friendly but not overly inusive. The food was out of this world. Faultless, exquisitely flavoured dishes. This chef can COOK. Would recommend to anyone. Advise booking - you are in...for a treat. Can't wait until we are back in Comrie again. Thanks for memorable meal (Jen.and Ewan)More

Writing this review after a couple of weeks away and am still feeling mightily impressed. We went for Sunday lunch with our friends and can only describe it as near perfect. Roast beef to die for with superb Yorkshire puds, perfectly cooked roast lamb and...same for sea bream. Starters and desserts spot on too. Great value, prompt, friendly service and a wine list that would impress the most discerning aficionado. We will be back.More

A fantastic welcome, and stunningly good food. Brian in the kitchen really knows his stuff, and Katy makes sure everyone feels like a special guest. OK, they are family, we arrived after hours and had a breakfast that is not part of their daily menu,...but I think the review is still valid. If you see this, and are thinking of going, book before you change your mind, and you will thank me later. Guaranteed.More

Spotted this restaurant and booked a table for the evening as we arrived to start our holiday. A very warm welcome was received. We ordered food in small bar area then taken to a lovely dinning room. Starters were very tasty - especially rabbit and...black pudding terrine, followed by main course - steak with whisky and mustard sauce and a chicken with a cognac sauce . awe was both too full to manage a desert but have booked again to revisit. Even rang to see on off chance if a vacancy for Saturday evening but with food this good wasn’t expecting to get one. Great find.More

Wow - what amazing food. We had the breast of guinea foul stuffed with haggis with a whisky and mustard sauce. Delicious! I then had the raspberry creme brulee. It was really, really good. We had a nice table by the fire, a lovely waitress...and tasteful background music that was not too loud. Reasonably priced too considering the quality of the food. We could not fault the place. Highly recommend.More

My husband and I stopped in on the of chance we would get a table, thankfully we did. This is our second visit, and it didn’t disappoint. We both had the leek and mushroom soup, which was delicious, then we had the boeuf bourguignon ,...the meat just fell apart, and the flavours were amazing. A very friendly restaurant with a roaring fire, just what we need on a cold day. We will certainly return.More

We’ve been to a lot of restaurants in Edinburgh and this restaurant has surpassed them. Being greeted at the door like royalty to the amazing food we really highly recommend. The ambience of the place to the best food we’ve tasted and the friendliness of...the place is second to none. We loved our evening there and certainly will keep coming back.
