Nothing is too much trouble for Sid and his team

We hired the whole venue for a celebration of my mum's life (a "wake"). Sid and his team provided the most delicious afternoon tea with the freshest bread I've ever tasted. Many of our guests were visitors to the venue for the first time and...had come from as far afield as Austria, Yorkshire, London and Pembrokeshire. The layout of the venue allowed for mingling with plenty of space for those less mobile to rest their feet. Guests were delighted to be able to step outside for a few moments of quiet reflection on the terrace where they could to pause and appreciate the stunning views that the restaurant offers. The homemade sausage rolls and brownies are superb. As locals we are lucky enough to be able to pop in whenever we want for cuppa and a brownie while we admire the views and listen to the relaxing background music.More

SID’s pop up curry night

Went to Sid’s curry pop up night. Food was fantastic. Very attentive service and additional touches (like entertainment) made the whole experience very special. Well done Sid 👍👍

Great spot for lunch

Sod is a great host and the food was brilliant. The burger was massive, great value for money and the service was excellent. Great spot on Penarth Esplanade to watch the world go by. Diolch!

Service with a smile

my friend and I were sat on the beach enjoying the wonderful exceptional weather for October and we fancied a coffee. The nearest was Sid's ( Pickfords) A sign outside said table service but I thought I'd ask if I could have a take away....They were very busy but I had excellent customer service. Thank you so much we will be back to try your new lunch menu soon.More

Excellent breakfast with family and friends

5 star breakfast!

Perfect as usual. Excellent service and great quality food. There were 4 of us, 2 vegan, 1 vegetarian, 1 omnivore and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. As usual, Sid was amazing. A lovely welcome and service with a smile. Just perfect...and the wonderful view...is an added bonus.More

Delicious lunch with perfect views

Came for a walk to Penarth and decided on the spur of the moment to try Pickford’s for lunch. First class prompt service with friendly waiters. Chose the vegetarian ploughman’s which was delicious and plentiful. My husband also had a ploughman’s but with ham which...he said it was delicious. We finished with a coffee. Just perfect to eat outside with lovely views over the Bristol Channel which is very clear today. We could see both Severn Crossings!More

Poor meal

I had fish and chips both very greasy Expected a better quality meal for £16.00 I should have complained but didn't like to as staff was very nice. May be staff could of asked why I hadn't eaten my meal was everything OK.

5* Food, View & Service

A fantastic restaurant with a 5* view. We had a lovely breakfast here to start a celebratory day for our Wedding Anniversary. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. Thank you - we will be returning!

They never let me down, tasty food and Great staff.

They never let me down, always striving for a better experience than the last one.
