In Penarthearlier than expected on a Sunday and needed to eat. Unfortunately just about everywhere is closed so it was either here or an overpriced, poncy, modern type of cafe full of chattering middle class people. It is difficult to know which choice would have...been best but I wanted more than a hot filled roll. I would like to say that the young lady who served me was really nice, and helpful when just about everything I asked for she could not offer - it was not her fault of course, but Wetherspoons and their weird rules on food! Ended up with a small breakfast which certainly was small. I had to pay extra for toast as it only comes with a bigger breakfast and I was 30 minutes too early for chips (but not booze if I wanted it - bizzare!) The toast was white witha smidgeon of brown here and there which I could just about see - I needed a magnifying glass! The butter was soa runny mess in its plastic tub. Cost £6.20 even though I had no beer or bacon!! Tea / coffee machine conked out! I did not complain as the server was so polite and I knew I would never return for more food. Customers - just the usual Wetherspoons types; weird and the lonely plus cheapskates and youngsters who can't cook CustomersMore

The service is as slow as any other pub in this chain, and the chips are just as bad too. But if you're a none smoker of tobacco or cannabis but want to take either up, then this is the place for you. The smokers...of both substances crowd the doorway, and with the doors wide open you're bound to get a few lung fulls as the smoke drifts freely into the pub. Illegal and disgusting.More

staff were rude and the service took a long time. when the food came it was presented in a very sloppy way, we ordered nachos which literally had a lump of sour cream on the top which looked like someone had just thrown it in...the plate. there was also no salt and there was no soya milk. wouldn’t really recommend to be honest.More

It's ironic that the boss of this company thinks any success is built on customer service, because even the staff are pleasant enough, you can arrive masked up, fill in their cover cards and sit down, only to have numerous staff ignore you. You practically...have to stalk them to place an order. And don't believe the " The barrel has just emptied " they are then under orders to flog you an alternative, so won't change it.More

Food very reasonably price and could not fault the waiter once I managed to order via the app as they dont take orders any other way. Down side no covid measures in place

Went in for a nice meal and drink with friends (we were a group of four girls), bunch of boys come and sit in the booth next to us and start throwing ketchup packets at us. We threw one back and told them to knock...it off and then they threw about twenty at us. A deputy manager came over and asked if we were ok and we said they started throwing stuff at us so he told them to stop otherwise they’d get kicked out. After that the boys threw more, so I got up to tell the manager and the boys started calling me names and saying not nice stuff, so the same guy told them to leave. The boys said we were throwing stuff more than them and the guy kicked all of us out. Not happyMore
