Beautiful dinning room. Elaborate Christmas decorations. Food was very good, and service was impeccable! Never had such tasty biscuits. Great menu choices.

We were staying at Dunleith (a different antebellum home in Natchez), and we decided to try out this restaurant which is in the main house of Monmouth. I'm SO GLAD we went here, because it was by far the best food we had in Natchez, and the prices were really very reasonable. Our bill here came to 30% less than... More

The Shrimp and Grits were superb as was the Gumbo! Steak was cooked to perfection and the bread pudding was the best I'v ever had.

If your spouse is not clad in appropriate attire and you are (Nina McLemore suit), then both of you will be asked to leave the interior of the home's restaurant. Very rude customer service and not recommended. There are many other places to stay and eat than this place. We are yearly visitors to Natchez and will not step foot... More

Great Thanksgiving Dinner from a limited choice fixed menu. All was good but can't really rate whole menu. Dinner experience that is replicable was superb - nice table in former study on ground floor, beautiful settings, good service, and "Dan the Piano Man" to entertain. (He is apparently there most weekends) Only overnight guest can tour the upstairs but highly... More

I had the fried green tomatoes topped with crabmeat with horseradish sauce. They were great. My entire was pork loin with sweet potatoes and collard greens. All were excellent but I have to say I have never had better collard greens. These were even better than my grandmother's. I wish they were open on Monday's!

My husband and I had an excellent experience here at 1818. Food was outstanding. Shirley was an excellent waitress. Fried green tomatoes and pecan pie were amazing! We enjoyed the gentleman playing the piano too.

This is a special place to go for special occasions. It's a hidden gem in a town with several good choices for dinner. Enjoy a drink in the bar before dinner in the historic house. The service and food are both fabulous and the setting is just beautiful.

Great service, great food. We were glad we chose Restaurant 1818 for our anniversary dinner. If you eat at the restaurant, you can tour the mansion at no charge. If we'd known that, we would have gone early.

Description
At Restaurant 1818 you will dine in what was originally the Men's and Ladies' Parlors of the Main House. These two parlors are adorned with authentic period crystal gasoliers. These impressive reproduction chandeliers and wall sconces were custom made for Monmouth by the artisans at Waterford Crystal in Ireland. Guests have complete dining freedom when they reserve a table at Restaurant 1818. Here guests can select menu items on an a la carte basis from the gourmet appetizers, soups, salads, entrees, and desserts offered that evening. A full wine list and wine by the glass program is available to ensure your dining experience is the very best Natchez has to offer! Private dining by candlelight is also offered for 8 to 12 people at the main dining room table.
