We were invited to a family Bar-Mitsvah. What a beautiful old building, preserved with great respect to the builder - The Baron DE Rothschild. It is a place for small to medium size events. The food was excellent, simple and tasty. The only flaw, was the timing and the inexperienced waiters... otherwise... the place would have got top rating...

Bistro Carmel is a charming and attractive restaurant in Zichron Yaakov. The building is attractive and we were in a group of 25 people....and in one dining area. The service was excellent and the staff handled the situation very well. All of the appetizer and dinner items were excellent and came out hot and plentiful. If a restaurant can stay... More

Good food, especially the dairy menu. The prices are a bit high, but the whole experience is worth it.

The Bistro was a pleasant place to enjoy lunch while in Zichron Yaakov. If you are touring the winery, it is quite convenient. Service was good. Food was good. I'll be back.

This is the second occasion on which we turned up for lunch only to be told that we could not go in as they had a family function in progress. Is the a restaurant open to the public or not?

The food is excellent - as an English ex-pat in Israel, I go here for my fish 'n' chips fix! A bit more up-market than the usual cod & chips in newspaper, but very tasty. The staff are lovely, although the service can be a little slow. The wine, of course, is always excellent

Nice restaurant. I went with my wife and daughter. We shared a mezze and went on to have fis dishes or salad. House wine. All nicely served by helpful staff (giving hebrew translations when necessary). Good value. We returned to the winery a couple of days later and filled up with their product. Dairy Kosher - so don't expect meat... More

This is a lovely restaurant, all dairy and kosher.... divided into smaller rooms, so it's perfect for a small gathering. Service is good. Food is good. Prices are reasonable. Would definitely return for more.
