We went there on the recommendation of our guidebook (le Routard). The dining room is pretty kitsch but well, the band was inviting... First, the mojito was as tasty as sparkling water. Then, the menu shows no prices, and the waiter indicates we must take a set menu, consisting of a basic soup, unseasoned raw vegetables, bread and butter and... More

We stopped off here for lunch. After you pick your main dish you are served soup, a salad and a dessert. We had the white fish fillet with shrimps that was delicious, the chicken steak which was good and the pork steak that was very good.

This was probably one of the nicest meals I ate whilst I was in cuba. Had a fixed menu you picked your meat or fish and then were served a soup a main meal and ice cream. Reasonably priced. Restaurant clean and service good. Only problem I had was that a service charge was added to my bill. I always... More

I am not sure what's going on with some of the other reviews here, or indeed with Tripadvisor's suggestion that there might be something untoward going on with the reviews. Yes, there are no prices on the menu. Yes, they showed me the lunch time (set) menu when I visited at lunch time to make the reservation and a different... More

We had an assortment of foods here for dinner. Lots of rain outside. Good drinks, good service. Plenty of food options but did not try anything that was great. Sure there are better options but they are also open 24 hours. Was overpriced. Lots of meats.

We went to this restaurant as the recommended restaurant next door was "supposedly" - which was actually a lie from the waiter and a taxi driver looking for a commission here. When you enter this place they give you a menu without prices what is already strange… when you ask it turns out it is 16-18 pounds for a menu... More

Had dinner here with a group, the food was ok, but not great. Live music was nice. Bit far from the center.

The food and drinks are great and the ambience wonderful. But the best part for us was the music by the Trio Sabor Cubano. The young men in the band are genuine, kind and talented. Thanks Elvis, Franklyn and Yordanis for making our visit in Cienfuegos the best ever! We will be back. I encourage everyone to stop by and... More

I have been to Cienfuegos several times, and this is by far, my favorite restaurant. The food is really good and not expensive, the place is lovely and the drinks are really good. One of the best mojitos in Cuba are served in Chango. Last time I visited Cienfuegos I went with some friends to take some drinks there. I... More

Chango is a relatively new paladar in Cienfuegos. It is only a couple of blocks east off the Prado just at the beginning of the Malecon, I believe it is right next to another paladar called Ache. The owner, Carlos, is often out front and welcomes you. His wife is the cook, both are very friendly. There is a small bar and the restaurant seats about 20 people. We ate there one night and came back 4 out of the next 5 nights. Lots of variations on lobster, shrimp, chicken, fish, pork and beef. Try the Enchilida Lobster, loved it. I also took a group of 20 people there one night, everyone loved it. Shrimp cocktail, lobster, desert, beverage and coffee come to about $15/person. Watch what you say and do though, Carlos is a Santaria Priest.
