If you're looking for something fancy this is not for you. If you're looking for good southern food and retro decorations and musical history, you'll love this place. If you are/were an Allman Brother Band fan, you'll enjoy the posters, pictures and other memorabilia on the walls. Right in the heart of downtown Macon and within close proximity to many... More

Get there early or be prepared to wait! But the bacon jam alone is worth it. They were sold out of waffles by the time we got there but the biscuits were great!

The H & H Restaurant is part of Macon's musical history when Capricorn Records was in town in the 1970s. Breakfast and lunch are delicious and the servings large. Cuisine is Southern Soul Food. Rock bands such as the Allman Brother's Band, Wet Willie, Marshall Tucker and singers such as Otis Redding hung out here and some were fed by... More

You'll eat in this modest brick building surrounded by photos of Macon music legends, including Otis Redding, Little Richard, the Allman Bros., and memorabilia and posters of Southern music icons. The food was topnotch and all homemade. I had the pulled pork, with deviled eggs and baked beans on the side...with a roll of course. Plentiful and delicious. The homemade... More

Reminded me of old, old, small "joints" I went to in Detroit 35 years ago. We decided to have breakfast at lunch time and it was delicious. Eggs cooked to order, crisp bacon, excellent coffee, tender biscuit. My two complaints were cold cheese grits and two requests for butter that were not satisfied. The cold grits were warmed, and returned... More

Fantastic little "hole in the wall" spot. My teenage son wanted to go after a successful wrestling tournament for the steak and egg breakfast. Not fancy at all, but lots of history in this place. Great southern soul food.

The food was simple, and the place is super casual. A fun stop for a bite to eat before heading over to the Big House Museum.

A popular breakfast place, crazy menu but fun, crowded but they move them through. Gets kind of smoky too. Lots of Allman Brothers Memorabalia, fun restaurant, food id pretty rich though.

We stopped in here because Ms. Louise was part of the beginning days of The Allman Brothers. It turned out they cook the BEST collards I have ever had and everything else was A+. It was an honor to meet Ms. Louise and she is such a beautiful lady with a terrific staff.

As a native southerner and huge BB fan I couldn't wait to eat at H&H. They were closed on my previous attempt and I was passing through Macon and didn't want to miss another chance. I ordered fried chicken, collards and hash brown casserole. The collards were as good as I've had and I've eaten a LOT of collards. The... More
