Suprised to find Cajun in Utah. An incredible selection of beers and a food menu with lots of tempting Cajun treats. Visited with friends who suggested the place. We'll be back.

You had to wait when there were tables. And then waitress sucked. The beer menu is the only thing that was decent. I wouldn't recommend this if you don't like to wait for no reason.

I was in SLC for business and one of my co-workers suggested the Bayou. What an excellent choice. I had the Jambalaya, and it was amazing. All of my co-workers had the "gumbalaya" and they loved it. Good sized portions and great flavors. I would definately recommend this to anyone. I will say, I hate the fact that it is... More

Came here for lunch this afternoon. The man checking ID's wasn't very friendly, but the rest of staff was! The food was alright, there are definitely some meals that are clearly better than others. The Jambalaya was really good and so was the po boy, but the red beans and rice was quite bland and the salads are just lettuce... More

We shared the cheese dip then I had the Gumbolaya for dinner - was awesome. Just spicy enough. The glassed in tap lines were great to look at and overall atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. They also - obviously - have a great tap list.

Great Cajun food & menu. There were some not Cajun options for those who don't want Cajun food. Business dinner. Everyone enjoyed their food. I found the noise level rather high for trying to meet, but probably because everyone was having fun!

We've eaten here multiple times. The etouffe with blackened catfish on top is delish, as is the blackened salmon. Gumbo and jambalaya are pretty good as well.

Love the giant beverage menu that the Bayou has! Appetizers are definitely better than most bar/pub menu and very tasty. We went with a group from work to have a holiday celebration. Got there early when only about a half dozen tables were filled so surprised that the service was not too quick. Got even poorer as the place filled.... More

The food here is incredible! I've been twice now in a group setting where we sample each other's plates, and every dish I've tried has been to die for. The beer selection is also vast (as well as other alcoholic beverages), so you can find pretty much anything you're looking for. They also have a jazz band on certain nights.

We've finally found a place in SLC for our Cajun fix. All the favorites are here, jambalaya, crawfish etouffee, gumbo, and catfish. Seasonings are spicy without being overpowering and portions are very generous so we could enjoy the same for lunch the next day. The alligator cheesecake appetizer is a unique treat. Beer variety is outstanding and waitstaff is very... More
