Interesting atmosphere with large bar area. Can be a little loud but if you sit along the perimeter, it is manageable. Service is good and the food is pretty typical Mexican cuisine done well. We had to ask for sopapillas though when they used to be brought automatically. Great place for families, children, large groups or friends.

Gardnunos has got everything a Mexican themed restaurant needs. It has an extensive menu for food.....The bar is okay.....They are not consistent though, last visit was okay but not as awesome as always. The food came in late and cold although the place was not busy, the food was delivered to a wrong table first, the garnishes were missing. Our... More

I enjoyed the "stuffed sopapilla" that included shredded beef with a green chili sauce....delicious. The staff was friendly and service was quick.....despite being a busy place.

We lived in the area 20 years ago and recently visited. Garduno's was our favorite for fajitas and it didn't fail us. It appears the restaraunt has shifted to a business-hour lunch place where before it was one of the fine dining places and we were a bit disappointed that the beans and rice appeared more commercial (aka, not made... I was here 10-15 years ago, still wear the souvenir sweatshirt allll the time. We popped in for lunch during our visit and it wasn't crowded, which was great. The place is huge and was pretty busy on my previous visit. Food was good and plentiful, service was fine. I recommend it.

There have to be plenty of other more authentic places for Mexican food in ABQ than this place. It feels very "themey" upon arrival, and it is clearly set up for crowds. We went for lunch on a weekday, and it was pretty quiet. They have an all you can eat fajita/taco bar, in addition to a full lunch and... More

Great place for Mexican food featuring local chilies. The silver coin margarita was great. Everyone enjoyed. The server made a few mistakes but was quick to correct.

We cannot eat spicy food. Our excellent waiter guided us through the menu and actually prepared, table-side a none spicy large serving of quacamole. In addition, he was extremely attentive and made our dining experience wonderful.

Garduno's was recommended when we asked for a place with local food and atmosphere. I'm sure the food was great if one likes heat, but we found everything too hot, even though we had specified mild. The best part of the evening was the marguerita. When we asked about the size (and perhaps the waiter noticed our advanced age), he... More

Food: 4, Service: 0 If we had not been watching the world series, we would have walked out. The food was fine, although getting potatoes with a Carnitas meal is a bit weird, to say the least. But everything tasted fine. Our server was so bad, that at one point after waiting over 10 minutes for a glass of water,... More
