Our medium sized party of 6 included Mexican and Albuquerque natives. We mostly enjoyed all the different dishes. The posole was good but a tad plain. I kept adding more chili sauce. The tamales were very good, the honey excellent as claimed. The guac was extremely fresh but again a bit bland. They note on the menu which dishes are... More

This place is lovely with great ambience. Often has music and live artists. Happy to cater to vegan diets. Calabacitas burritos with christmas sauce is delicious! Dining here is quite a uniquely New Mexican experience.

We have been going here for years when in Albuquerque. It is a wonderful experience. Their salsa and charred chips were outstanding. My cheese enchiladas were not as good as I remembered, but I allowed them to put the green chili sauce on them rather than doing it myself. I think that was my mistake. I didn't make that mistake... A gigantic place that offers a taste of New Mexican cuisine. I have visited this place a few times while visiting Albuquerque. Seems my last visit (2 years ago) was a tad better. This visits highlights include the red chile rubbed ribs & finally tried the queso dip both delicious. Service was fast, friendly & efficient.

Lovely atmosphere, great building and decor. Service was good, as were the sopapillas and margaritas. But, I have had much better food. It is expensive...you are paying for a pretty place. As a local, will go only when I take out-of -town guests, who don't know the difference.

You drive into the parking lot and it takes you by surprise that you are in the middle of Albuquerque...the large area that it takes up and they raise chickens and vegetables on site. This Resturant is a must if you are visiting Albuquerque. The chips and salsa was great...they have a little char for a great taste. Everything that... More

I grew up in New Mexico, and dearly miss New Mexican cuisine. Whilst visiting an old friend that still lives here, I mentioned how I long to again dine on flat (not rolled) enchiladas served Christmas-style (both red and green sauces), a delicacy simply not available up here in the Pacific northwest. They were delicious! Extra points for the fascinating... More

El Pinto really is a versatile restaurant. The bar area is beautiful and great for date nights, but the large patio area makes it easier for family get-togethers. Kids can throw coins in one of the many fountains or play in one of the several open grassy areas off of the dining areas while waiting for food. It really is... More

As a local, El Pinto has always been where we take out of town visitors. It has magnificent patios, dramatic rooms in the old hacienda, and the standard New Mexican fare. I had heard about their changing practices and wanted to see for myself. Wow! They now have 200 pasture-raised chickens at their "Hen Hotel" in the back of the... More
