Try their red chili ribs. Amazing. The best burritos in New Mexico. Great service, beautiful, affordable.

The salsa was tasty, but too mild. Chips were warm and great. Margaritas tend towards too sweet and the same margarita does not taste the same twice......Stuffed sopapilla was ordered with cheese only, but came with chicken. Stacked blue corn enchiladas with beef were good but not great. Service was very good. Prices are about as high as I am... More

I have not been to El Pinto in a long time. Decided to bring my friend from California to show her a NM favorite. Their Guacamole is to die for. The menu is diverse and you can get things at many different price points. Ultimately, it is a little pricey for New Mexican food, but still worth going to at... More

Love the signature red chile enchiladas! Various rooms and the charming outdoor area provide a variety of attractive options. There is a serious need for a 409-type cleaner on the walls and trim, but most folks don't care, as this is a very popular place for locals to entertain out-of-towners. Festive, lots of photos of famous visitors, tasty food -... More

El Pinto may have a great atmosphere, but their food is not worth the trip. Our family celebrated a milestone birthday there on January 8, 2017. Their food was very disappointing. My husbands rib plate was bland, the tostado chips were thick , brown , and tasteless. The taco salad I had was served with a spinach mix on top... More

As I'm a Texan I expect my Mexican food to be heavy and greasy. El Pinto was light, flavorful Mew Mexican food served in an amazing atmosphere. The chips and salsa were crisp and spicy. The baby back ribs were meaty, fall off the bone covered in a red chili rub that was amongst the best I ever had. The... More

Since this is a local restaurant I've eaten here many times. We went recently for a family dinner and I was impressed by the attention to quality and service which seems like a new special effort. The service was excellent. The waitress was attentive and helpful. We did not have to wait for anything. All orders were accurate. We were... More

Beautiful grounds. We ate in the lounge, which is nicely done in New Mexico tradition styling, a patio flare with lots of plants and high ceilings. Waitress was very helpful, margaritas were wonderful and the food even better. I had the Stuffed Sopapillas with pork, one red and one green chile. My husband had the taco plate. Very good! We... We are locals. There are dozens of New Mexican restaurants to choose from in Albuquerque but we always go to El Pinto for a treat. The place is super popular so expect to wait for table but its worth it.

Very very good food and motif. Very spacious and busy the Wednesday night we were there. Staff and waitress were knowledgeable and very attentive. Food was extremely tasty. I had carnita burrito, just the right amount of spice and flavor. Highly recommend
