The Frontier restaurant has been around for more than 40 years. They must be doing something right!!! You walk in and it reminds you of some restaurant that you have been to growing up and on vacation. You order and then find a table. You do not realize how big it is until you walk out of the main dining... More

The Frontier is the favorite 24 hour hangout for both university students and locals with evenings being a great place to people watch as the unusual people come out. The food is ok, huge cinnamon rolls and the prices are cheap, hence the college students. For some local color and food, you can't beat it. Parking can be a bit... More

If you're looking for fine dining, this place isn't it. It's more about quantity rather than quality and the quality is pretty bad. But it's cheap and it's right across the street from the university, so I guess that's to be expected. I didn't like the food or the ambiance.

The Frontier is an Albuquerque icon. Across the street from UNM and open 24 hours a day seven days a week and 364 days of the year, the Frontier is a grand cafeteria of Northern New Mexican "sol" food. While nothing on the menu stands out is particularly special aside from their ginormous cinnamon rolls, everything is filling, fresh and... More

This place is a great place to bring visitors to Albuquerque. Its unique decor makes it a memorable place to eat. The food is good and authentic, but not quality enough to make 4 or 5 stars for me. The management is friendly and helpful. You will get a variety of locals in here, so it makes it a great... More

Breakfast, Wow...Eggs and enchiladas. Red chili to die for. Flour tortillas that melt in your mouth. Best New Mexican food on Route 66.

If you're in Albuquerque, NM this is the best place to get cinnamon rolls they're awesome, they have other great food too trust me. Down side right now is the road construction in that area but you can still get to them just have to park on the side street.

Parking is very difficult, and even worse with on-going construction which is supposed to last until end of 2017, but the food is good and reasonably priced. Best time to go is when the UNM is not n session

50 year tradition of serving breakfast, lunch and light dinner on Central Ave/Route 66 across from the University of New Mexico campus. Cuisine is Mexican/New Mexican with sweet rolls and green chile cheeseburgers among several signature items. You order at the counter, go choose a table and your number is displayed on a screen when your order is ready. View... More

The Frontier is located adjacent to the University of New Mexico and is a popular student hang out. Lots of other folks go there too, for the good food, cheap prices and all of the local artwork on the walls. The main attraction is the sweet rolls which are fresh, huge and warm. You never think you can eat a... More
