Backstreet Grill is perfect for families indoors or out. Absolutely wonderful guacamole made to our taste at our table. Nachos enough for a whole table. A large plate of tacos, a tasty chicken sandwich, burger, and a quesidilla for the littlest child. Service was efficient...More

Great restaurant in scenic Old Town, Albuquerque! Lots of choices on the menu, plus specials of the day. Our party of 5 all ordered different dishes, and we were all pleased. Try the duck tacos in mango mole, delicious!

We tried this place as a family with my husbands coworkers and it was great. The pork shank appetizer will be the one thing that brings me back again and again. Along with that, we shared the green chile patty melt and while it was...More

Was a nice day of walking old town and stopping here for lunch. I had the patty melt. The others shared a platen of piled high shredded pork nachos and a poached pear salad. The food was delicious and the service was great. I will...More

First of all, this restaurant has a dog-friendly patio, which we were so happy to find. The waitress brought a bowl of water for our dog -- nice. Secondly, my husband can't eat peppers. MANY restaurants do not offer anything without them. However, this one...More

If you like spicy, they can serve it up! The chicken bowl with the Christmas sauce can light up your lips if you are unprepared...still good. Street Chicken Tacos with the cream sauce was very soothing and had a nice cream accent. The Street Beef...More

Good food ! The gumbo was really good and was spicy but just the way I like it. They give good size portions so if you don’t eat a lot you may want to split an entree with someone.

Our group of six showed up at a peak time -- Saturday evening -- but with an advance reservation. However, the entire restaurant staff seemed unprepared for us as well as overwhelmed overall. Our waitress got our orders wrong a couple of times; she didn't...More

Because Backstreet Grill is located in a touristy area of the city, I expected food acceptable enough for just-passing-through folks to enjoy without complaint. We were shopping before an overnight at Los Poblanos Lavender Farm and stopped in for a quick lunch. I was blown...More

Questions & Answers
Since I cannot respond to the management counter to my review I will answer this way. In New Mexico when I saw a Navajo Taco on the menu and ordered it with Green Chile I figured I was getting a New Mexico Dish. It was not even close to what I expected. The dish I received had no flavor and was more like a tasteless taco dish. My mistake but I was misled by the menu. The grilled cheese was a complete waste as well as it was a total grease sandwich. The Calamari was totally cooked to a crisp and like eating burnt whatever and I don't remember the other dish but you can see my issues. Then to top of the experience a server that was totally cocky did nothing more than take the order and never removed the dishes and maybe now you know why we won't be back. Your cuisine is your choice and that's no issue with me. Just like my choice is to never come back. So my question is is there valet parking?
